I just called Direct TV and they have a deal going on where you get 4 months free of premier service if you sign up for NFL Sunday Ticket. For me my bill went from $65 to $52 and now I have premier channels and Sunday Ticket and Super Fan.

Might want to check it out if you were debating it because of the cost.

they wouldnt give it to me cause I signed up 3 days too early...

Im actually in the process of filing a false advertisment claim against them because nowhere on there site did it state any dates that you had to become a customer to recieve this.

sorry for that trouble but DirecTv is actually awesome, I think, except in this instance

personally i like cable better. they have more programming to offer like in demand for free, and it doesnt go out during a storm...the only reason why id go with DTV is for the sunday ticket

If I were you, I would hang up and call again. It's amazing how much the service varies from one representative to another. If you keep calling, I would be willing to bet that you will find somebody more inclined to help you. That has been my experience.

they will hook you up, sunday ticket subscribers are like royalty son...make them give you a free hd dvr or something...they really will. don't let the lvl 1 customer service reps that make min. wage turn you away

i called twice and then spoke with a manager, they all told me they could help me, so I filed a false advertisment claim (because nowhere on the website or advertisement did they say when you had to sign up to get this deal) with the Dept of consumer affairs and they forwarded that to the dept of the attorney general... I also filed a claim with the FCC...

I just signed up for the ticket the other day.. i talked them into giving me superfan for free like someone posted a month or so ago. and its still $250 for 2 more days.

i've done it several times


manager isn't customer retention. tell them you are thinking of canceling and you will be transferred to them

different departments have different abilities.

find out the local cable offerings and just say...'hey comcast is offering ____ for ___ "

they have TONS of leeway to make you happy

I have to call and ask for customer retention?
 
I just googled customer retention and got the number... im going to call them
