The marlins last regular season game is tonight at The Pro, and they're 6.5 games back from the wild card.....so, unless the cubs, giants and few others fall flat on their faces these last weeks of baseball, the marlins will be done at the Pro Player Stadium.

So, does anyone know how this would work? Will they get rid of dirt by sunday, or keep it anyway, just in case the marlins squeak in the playoffs?

i heard on WQAM that it will be in place for the Jets game only iff the hurricane dosen't hit us too hard. Let's keep our fingers crossed double time.

The dirt will gone on Sunday - it'll be mud.

Is there a story for why the Fins are just about the only franchise I can think of that has this stupid baseball crap in the middle of their playing field? You'd think an area as rich as South Florida could afford a baseball-only facility.

I think the Raiders have the same situation....or is it the Chargers?

If you were a cash-strapped city/county government, would you want to shell out $400 million for a retractable-roof stadium to keep a team that nobody supports?

I'm not a baseball fan, so I'm not up on who is considered 'good' in MLB. I've just always been irritated by that dopey thing stuck in the one end of Joe Robbie/Pro Player all these years...
