First, this is the classic type of game historic Dolphin teams lose and not only did they not lose they were dominating on all sides of the ball before even getting into the 4th quarter.

I disagree the pick was a bad call. Miami hit that deep pass on that drive and I thought to myself they have the game in the bag and it's a good time to work on some things we will need in the coming weeks. And sure enough they went for another long pass (and BTW did anyone complain about that first down pass into the end zone? No!) Once they got on the goal line it was a good opportunity to built the teams confidence in passing in those situations, the ball was tipped, no big deal in the long run.

I think we are going to start to see Landry as the #2 WR, overtaking Hartline. I love Hartline but unfortunately if he doesn't have dependable hands he has little to offer, and he isn't showing his hands are "McDuffie" types hands at this point.

Tannehill looked neither good nor bad in the first half, although I'm sure many "fans" in here will say he was bad. He was pressured and the WR's had some drops. Our defense couldn't get off the field to let the offense get some rhythm, one they did the offense worked it out.

BS on all the statements about "If we start off like this VS "whoever" we lose", give some credit to the Jaguars in the first half, they played a good half and deserve credit.

It was not impressive. We beat a bad football team because their rookie quarterback threw a pair of UGLY pick sixes.

yeah. grimes and delmas were unimpressive

last I looked, the nfl gives you playoff points for impressive wins.

Thankfully we played a bad game as a team against a terrible opponent!

The Jaguars came out fired up and hungry. The Fins were flat. (Fiery coach vs stoic coach)
The Jags DL was underestimated and Philbin was too slow to replace College.
RT is friends with Hartline, so Hartline has leverage over Landry or Matthews. I think that Philbin doesn't want to rock the boat.
Same with College. He did some good things earlier in the season, but it appears he is hurt now. Time to sit him until he is healthy again.

No sorry but It was not impressive

It reminded me of an ugly steelers win...

regardless...any win in the NFL is awesome. Every game has its own story and **** doesn't carry over from week to week. The whole line of thinking surrounding "hey we beat this one team who then beat another team so we are better than that team" is stupid. Every sunday is completely different and new and NO team in the NFL is void of talent.

This is a game the Dolphins would have lost the last 6-years. Baby steps.

And of course our players, schemes and play calling had nothing to do with encouraging said picks? Pffft!

I am not trying to be a Debbie Downer. We won today and that is VERY good. We won on the road, and we improved to 4-3. 4-3 is MUCH better than 3-4. We match up pretty solidly with San Diego and have a legitimate shot to be 5-3.

BUT, Blake Bortles is REALLY BAD. He has thrown something like 12 interceptions in 5 games now. Every time I see Jacksonville on Red Zone each week, Blake Bortles is getting picked off. He struggles to red coverage and throws a lot of wobbly, inaccurate footballs. Our DBs deserve a ton of credit for turnning those plays into pick-sixes, but ew would have lost to a lot of NFL teams today.

It was not a "feel good" win, but the fact that we were able to play backups in the fourth says something to me about this team. They were able to win this game comfortably, despite less than optimum performance. This is an improvement from recent Dolphin teams.
Happy for the win.

[/COLOR]Id bet Tanny loves Landry by now, he'll be dining with him if he keeps balling like he's been. I see a lot of upside with him and he might be the playmaker we surely need. We need a steady playmaking player, thought Clay might be it but he disappeared, don't see any other on the horizon so Landry might be that guy.

There's more than one way to win a game. Personally, I'm glad to see us prove today that we can also win with defense; along with a little help from our special teams and offense. I think that goes a long way toward showing we have real balance on this team. Great playoff teams have that essential formula in spades.
