Don't mean to be a Debbie downer, but I am disapointed with all the offseason moves besides our resignings of Starks & Grimes.

We signed an injury prone LT and FS, an over the hill CB at an overpriced contract, who was awful last year and a DT Earl Mitchell, again overpriced in a year where the draft is deep at DT.

I would have been far happier with Anthony Collins and resigning Clemons and Carroll, while drafting a DT in draft. Would have saved a ton of money and IMO been no worse off.

I know I'll get shot down for this but I believe after initial frenzy of wanting everyone in FA, once the season kicks off many will be posting the same

The fact that you have the resigning of Clabo, who was a total turnstile last year, as one of your priorities shows your football acumen. I would be Disappointed in hickey if he followed your plan.

You're right. Shame on Hickey for signing those players. We were perfectly fine with the line we had, and after seeing how Jamar Taylor played last year, I'm shocked they don't want him being a starter

People are going to cry and people are going to smile, your on the crying bandwagon which is fine, but I'm on the winning bandwagon. .......

I am not disappointed at all.

My only criticism is, while I do not mind signing Finnegan, I think there were (and are) better veteran CB's. I would have liked to see him sign a Tarell Brown and Finnegan. A team cannot have enough CB's…especially with the great passing offenses the Fins face in 2014.

If he can sign another few OG's and draft a rookie RT, I think the line is fine.

I love that he has played the market except for LT…it was something I clamored for leading up to FA.

OP...you certainly are entitled to your opinion....but from my point of view, I think he has done very well. There is no panic or desperation in his moves and he has filled some of our holes with solid players. Resigning Starks and adding Mitchell to replace Soliai are huge!!! We have two O-linemen on board and hopefully one or two more to come. Now, we should focus on a running back and possibly another corner (hopefully bring Patterson back).

I think Hickey is doing pretty well so far....

He's filled holes with only paying a lot for 1 guy. This lets him not reach in the draft. Good teams are built in the draft.. I'd wait to judge him.

Omglob dude we got rid of Carroll? he was such the difference maker in all the games.

A perfect example of the instant gratification of our society. These guys haven't even put on a Dolphin jersey and its already a disappointment. How about tempering your expectations to a sensible level and see how it plays out on the field before rushing to judgment. Remember there are only 32 NFL GMs and to my knowledge none of us here are fortunate enough to have that honor.

Agree. Everyone will have their thoughts on Hickey. I believe he has done a fine job as you have stated. Even better is that we haven't traded draft picks or weakened our team further while trying to fill our voids. A classic Ireland trademark. So far so good. We will pick up a few more offensive guards to compete. I also think Zack Martin in the draft as a starting RT for 2 years and then take over the LT position in year three. 2 drafts from now or next year we draft another RT.

Disappointed with this thread.

The Finnegan and Delmas signings are both questionable and risky, no doubt. But we'll just see how it plays out. I will always play by the end result.
