the question about who will be the trusty QB for saban in the future is rising every day , saban got rid of feeleys services and saved a couple of millions against the cap , cleo lemon is just a chance according to him , not an answer , which bring us to two questions . 1 . is there a real promising QB in next years draft worth a 1st or 2nd round ??....please tell me your opinion ..to me leinart is overrated .
2 . Will saban make a push to get a good free agent QB like david carr ?? .

personally kitna and other similar QB´s are just OK , but not an answer , to me via trade .. just carr , rivers ...and maybe .... chris simms ...are a future to us .....let me know your feelings and opinion about this .

There are quite a few good QB's coming out next year. There could even be a few more if some Juniors come out.

I do like Leinart, but there is no way we will be able to draft him. I like Brody Croyle from Alabama. I like Brady Quinn from ND (but he is a Junior). I am not sold on Vick, the guy from Bowling Green (can't remember his name now for somereason)... Vince Young from Texas looks great... LOTS of options for next year. Way too early to say yet. However, I would bet Mueler (sp?) and Saban already have a plan.

thanks oboy ...i personally like quinn ..... you bet saban and mueller have a plan ... but i think they are sort of opening the scenario to bring someone they both agree is the answer .

Hey, we have our future QB already.. He might be a Lemon but at least he is OUR Lemon.:D

It all depends what type of QB Saban, Mueller and Linehan want. The only quality I sense that Saban demands is game management. Other than that one quality I'm not sure what he's looking for. A mobile QB, a pocket passer, a combo of the two?

Leinart has game management skills so I think he would fit the bill. Gradkowski is another (he can be had in the 2nd or 3rd). Quinn has it.

Personally I think we need to draft a rookie and get a free agent, my choice being Carr if available but probably the loser in the San Diego soap opera

add drew stanton to the mix...thought michigan state has two losses, they have not been his fault...his throwing and accuracy have gotten incredibly better each year...

Mueller will be bringing in lots of options at QB in my opinion. Lemon is just the first of many to come. Who knows who will emerge from the list he puts together after this season, but if he works the same kind of magic he has in the past, we should be in good shape with whoever it is.....

Personally, I'd like to see us make a run at Rivers. He's young, and although he hasn't started at this level yet, he's better adjusted than a rookie would be coming straight from college....

He's a young QB I'd be willing to bank the Phinz future on....

PHINZ RULE!!!

The QB from Bowling Green is Omar Jacobs.

They will analyze Cleo Lemons as the season progresses. If they see potential out of him they will draft a QB late or not draft one at all. If they don't ever think he will develope they will draft a QB early.

i agree with the post before me...well see lemons progress and if he fails, draft a qb early...oh yea, but i still like stanton...

If Lemon progresses nicely, maybe plays a few games if we are out of contention, I still think we draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th round, just as a plan B. If Lemon falls on his face, which I don't think he will, we look for our franchise guy in the 1st or 2nd round. IMO.

It depends on what we have to give up for certain players. Ex. if we have to trade 2 1st round picks for Rivers than we should just use our picks to trade for Leinart.

Ok ..so I guess ...jacobs , stanton , quinn ....could be fins ....looks ...good .

Omar Jacobs would take forever to get to the point where he could help us. He has so many flaws in his game that I dont think we can draft him. It would take to much time to develop him
