Disgusted with this Oline

I have been watching just like everyone else on here. Since our line sucked this preseason why couldnt we sign a gurode or waters like the patriots cant be worse than what we have now. Untill we play good I dont like what we have especially considering our RB and QB situation. Both positions would benefit from a good oline which untill they prove they are good they arent good.

With the shortened training camp it is difficult to make big changes and have any type of continuity.
If you read some other team reports, it seems most teams are having the same trouble as the Fins.
There is a shortage of quality players. It is that simple.
This oline will be ok by week 6, I am just worried how they will play in week 1-3. Don't expect much.

Daniel Thomas and Lex Hilliard

Thomas at KSU never ran between the tackles nor had to block. If you are depending on Hilliard as a ground em out RB or any other type of RB, then you will surely be disappointed my friend. Hilliard at best, is what he is, a backup, nothing more.

bottom line is with this oline we are in trouble on short yardage and goalline...get ready to be frustrated when we can't convert in the inside running game...cause its coming

i almost think we'll be better off using the short passing game in short yardage as a substitute for the run...on the goalline i think your gonna see us get stoned an awful lot

ehhh...we just can't move guys off the ball

It seems like your posts get worse by the day. I recommend sitting this one out. Daniel Thomas a 230 lb back that runs in the 4.6s never ran between the tackles.

We should give Paul Solai some fullback practice carries in short yardage...heck we lined up JT as a TE before.
Let King Paul punch it in and move the pile!
Imagine the look on BB's face ...LOL

I love how all these armchair Quarterbacks think they know everything about Pro Football and think they have all the answers for how to fix things, like the OLINE, QB position etc....It's comical....

Who isn't disgusted with the state of the OL? After four seasons the only two players that are worth a damn are Jake Long, and Mike Pouncey.

I have NEVER seen so much reaction in my life.

Its not like the FO isnt trying. It's not like all-pro lineman are out there just ready to be traded...its not Madden folks, it just isnt.

We have Long.

Incognito was very good last year actually, even if nobody wants to rewatch tape but just prefer to pound that idea into the ground.

We have one of the better backups in Berger.
Nate Garner, if he could stay healthy.
Vern would still be solid if he lost 60 lbs (Coaches can only do soooo damn much)
John Jerry looked good...and then all of a sudden...not so much.
They have been drafting 3-6 lineman each year.
They spent another 1st rounder this year, and it looks like it might pan out, but who freakin knows.

Keep in mind, the Golden boys in New England don't have a very good O-line right now either. Its just not that damn easy...in fact, I am beginning to think its actually tougher to project a frontline coming out of college than it is a QB

I understand some frustration, but folks, its not as easy as some of you make it out to be. It just isnt like a video game.

Gurode and Ohara are all pro OLmen that are out there ready to be had - for nothing. Didnt know Gurode had been signed.. Anways, this offseason we could have had Gurode, Ohara, or Waters.. All of which would have had significantly upgraded the line

Have that many of you really watched every play of Thomas' collegiate career? WOW

I love that Waters, Gurode, McKinnie, etc. get signed and this front office doesn't make an attempt for any of them. They must TRULY believe Columbo is a man amongst boys, and that Carey will be effective. I don't understand it.

How do you counter a weak line... Spread the offense (why we kept 6 receivers) and throw those quick slants. Hence why Bush is going to be so valuable to us this season. You may not like dinking and dunking, but you sure won't mind when Bush turns them into 15-20 yard gains.

The Patriots have been doing this for a decade.
