Disrespect Has Caught Up To This Team!!!

Turn on ESPN, read Sports Illustrated or any other football publication.From Peter King's weekly rant about Belichick and his untouchable reputation to E Tonight talking about Tom Brady's hair! You see it everywhere.........Patriots Patriots Patriots!!!! Watch a CBS called game,when Jim Nantz and Phil Simms call a Patriots game,it's like listening to a Patriot affiliate feed! I think it's quite sickening but the point of this post is to point out the obvious! No One is giving our Dolphins a chance in this game nor the AFC EAST race. Some like Hugh Douglas and Darren Woodson of ESPN call the Phins "CATFISH". The bottom feeders of the division. I think this plays to our teams advantage. Everybody is sleeping on the DOLPHINS! These DOLPHINS say they don't read the papers or listen to sports talk,or pay attention to the attendance at the stadium but the reality is these players know they are disrespected! I think we are witnessing a Coach that has a team that believes in him through all the adversity and is ready to take the next step! I think Sporano has this team very hungry and ready to prove the naysayers wrong with an us against the world mentality! This team is ready to be in every game and compete with the best teams, like in all honesty, have done for the most part last season. The Dolphins have the talent and improved speed on both sides of the ball. The Dolphins are coming into Monday nights game with a chip on their shoulder, the chip of disrespect! As a fan, I couldn't be happier!!

I like the passion, but until we win some games and against good teams, why shouldn't they be predicting the pasties to win and win big against us?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I would like to add that I'm expecting us to win, but like the rest of us (come gametime) we all tend to believe to one degree or another that we'll win! :idk:
 
Ok bro no intentions to kill what u are trying to say I agree however, U are talking about how we are getting disrespected yet you do not fail to spell the name Belichick incorrect and yet you write Sporano??? If you dont even respect our coach how can u expect ppl from other cities will???
 
When a team goes 14-2 the previous season and wins their division they get respect. When a team goes 7-9 the previous season they are ignored.

There are no ESPN conspiracies, when a team wins and is popular they get attention. The Patriots are both. Same goes for The Saints, Colts, Steelers, Packers and Ravens who get just as much attention as the Patriots and Jets.

You gotta beat the man to be the man. We'll see Monday if the Dolphins want to be the man.
 
At least we still get mentioned. The Bills get talked about way less than we do.
 
Two points:
1. ESPN headquarters is located in BRISTOL CONN. down the street from Pats hq
(if Espn was located in DOral all u would hear about is the Phins.)
2. as a Phin fan i will be the one to break it to u that: the Pats have compeded for more super bowls in the last 10yrs. than the Phins have IN OUR HISTORY. sorry but facts are facts. until the Phins can compete with the AFCs elite (like the Jets are tryin) expect little more than Bills type attention.

But their employees and talent come from all over the country. They don't put employments ads in the local penny saver and it's damn near impossible to get a job at ESPN.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with point 2. Winning = attention from fans and media. Even losing gets more attention than being average which is what the Dolphins have been for a long time.

Nobody was complaining when Saban was hired and the Dolphins had a ton of coverage and super bowl predictions.

But it's all cool, this is the season the Dolphins turn it all around.

2nd. your right. we are not a losing team. we are officially an average team. which to me is worse than a bad team. average teams go nowhere. bad teems at least have the picks to get better-----------------------------------------------------teams get better making the right choices...

2 straight losing years, 4 out of 5 losing years. Right now over the last half decade we have been a losing team 80 percent of the time so until we win or go .500 we are a losing team

First a little history of myself for those hall of famers in the crowd with low reading comprehension skills:
i was born in 1982.
1983 Dan Marino Starts
1984 Dan Marino leads Phins to Super Bowl Loss
1984- 1999 i wait for the best thing we ever had (since Lebron) to bring us to the promise land.
1999-2004 Wannstedt years (Ricky put dwn the joint and run!!) yrs..
2004-2008 camerron/ parcells yrs. lt. jake long only thing to come out of it.
2008-2011 dlockz . starts paying attention. starts making own timeline.

my timeline has a winning tradition. go to espn classics you might get a taste
 
And all that will continue until we prove ourselves on the field. We will see what we are made of this year after Mondays game.
