Same problem as last year, we can't find five starters in that mess of humanity. There was no "gelling" last year until about week 10!!!! You can't coach talent, just technique. All Houck can do now is try to find a servicable line that won't get the QB killed and try to find someone worth keeping for next year.
 
Try out the new kid from Philly and give Frank a shot at the 1st unit. Seth must be very likable - Stockar got kicked to the curb mighty quickly yet Seth retains his spot when he continues to get no push.

That's a good point. I noticed that on this board there seems to be a daily to weekly supporting or ripping theme. This week it's rip the oline.

We are not that bad, we are not that good. We are IMPROVED from last year both with personel, schemeing and coaching. Our RB situation is improved with Ricky and Ronnie (both of whom can make something out of nothing and push the pile. I'm not sure where all the negativity is coming from other than that's what the media is saying. We will likely be better than last year (which we were in most games without all the other positives)

Agreed! You can't polish a turd boys!
 
Take it for what it's worth, but I believe we had a soft line in 2002 and Ricky made that line a lot better. I have always held the belief that a great running back can make an offensive line better. If they have to respect the long ball, which they clearly did not with Fiedler, they will not be able to blitz as many defenders. That being said, I am not trying to live in a dream world. Our O-line needs help greatly!!!!!
 
Must be Scottish, & I thought that was sheep not pigs... :evil:
