Disturbing Salary Cap Number

Whats ****ed up is Tannehill is 10th in yards while the team is 27th, he's put up passing numbers we haven't seen on this team in decades with relatively **** talent supporting him. None of it adds up.
Owing to a relatively small percentage of rushing attempts, in comparison to the league norm.

In other words, they got the bulk of their yards through the air, because that's what they did a whole lot more of.

My first thought is that our starting QB is cheap which isn't a luxury most good teams have. Tannehill will have a big price tag on his second contract. Really, most of the offense is made up of young players that don't have big contracts yet. If all goes well, this will be a much more expensive group soon enough.

QBs from this point forward are going to be more affordable the earlier in their careers they are b/c of the CBA change they made. All the young QBs drafted the last few years are playing for peanuts right now.

As others have said we will roll a very large % of the $20 million or so to next year. We have about 6-7 vets to either re-sign or replace with free agents, and with about $105 million in salary already allocated for 2014. If we didn't rollover a very large amount of space from this year we would only have about $23 million to fill those 6-7 holes and that wouldn't be enough.

what people are not thinking about is sure you can roll over cap and spend it. but it's only a 1 year deal. the cap resets. so you are over the base cap for that year and lose your rollover the following year. so the 2014 cap is about 126mil. the fins are about 20 mil under and could roll around 17 mil. so we could have around a 143mil cap number. if we spend that, and the 2015 cap is around 130 mil, we are 13 mil over heading into the offseason.
