That is my nightmare SB, the only one that could ever be worse would be Giants-Phins.

Absolutely defnse won that game, to hold down that GB offense? they set up Eli and company all day. Eli did play well but the 2 biggest plays on O were both made by Nicks- again taking a short pass a long way(this one 66 yds for the TD) and the Hail Mary. Eli was good in this game, you need good QB play to win in January but he wasn't great and he didn't carry them. As far as credit_ D, Nicks, then Eli
you thought Eli was great? I'm not saying he was bad, he had a good game but that gets skewed b/c of 2 plays by Nicks. The D set them up all game long too, the D holding Rodgers and co. down was the main reason they won.

I am definitely biased, I probably sound like dolphin fans taking away credit from sanchez the last 2 Januarys but I didn't see a great performance by Eli. Again, the 2 biggest plays were a hail mary and a short pass turned into a 66 yd TD. You think Eli was reason #1 they won? come on.

And no, Eli isn't the #1 reason they won. Then again, I never point to one specific thing other than turnovers. It's a team game. Defense and special teams must do their jobs as well. But if Eli doesn't play well yesterday, Green Bay probably wins that game. Not a QB in the league right now who is better than Eli presnap. Dude is money on third down and clutch in the fourth quarter. Not to mention he's a better road QB than at home.

He absolutely played well and if he doesn't GB has a better chance, I'm not taking credit away from him but I'm not saying he carried them. I disagree about being elite, elite QBs don't go 6 of 8 years w/o winning a playoff game. Also, that team is playing great- why couldn't he lead them to more than 9 wins in that crappy division? he's very good, he's not elite.
That team is average. We all know it. No way they are a better team than Green Bay.

With this line of thinking, Sanchez and Flacco are elite, while Eli is not?
It can be argued they have better WRs and RBs along w/ the OL and clearly their D is better than GB. Why did they only win 9 games?

Kind of like Sanchez throwing a 7 yard pass going for 58 yds, and a 5 yard pass turned into a 15 yard TD against NE last year? The difference is Sanchez threw for 194 yards. Eli Threw for 330 yds. Eli was 7 for 11 on 3rd down passes. You want to give Sanchez a ton of credit when the Jets win playoff games when he was carried by the D and running game, but when Eli plays better, you want to take away credit.
