"...Finally, the Miami Dolphins could be in the mix as well. I mean, they started this season at Seattle and at New England and lost 12-10 and 31-24, respectively. The AFC East is a muddled mess behind the Patriots, and someone has to come out of the pack. Of the remaining schedule, the only scary teams are the Bengals, Steelers, Cardinals and the season finale against the Patriots. The rest of it is very, very manageable, which could Miami a chance if it can right the ship starting in Week 3..."

No idea.

But the Dolphins sure as hell have no chance.

I remember when we started 0-2 in 2008 and then went on to make the playoffs. Of course this is a completely different situation, but you just have to win games. There's not much to it.

If no significant injuries, AND no losses to less talented or equivalent teams, AND the D plays as it did against the 'Hawks, yeah. I don't see all those happening.

We had s brand new coach (Sparano) then too and New England had quarterback problems to take advantage of. We had our opportunity to "wildcat" our way through New England, but it didn't happen.

the jets are scary

more scary than everyone else on that list if you ask me...

Not with this defense. You don't win many games being ranked 31st against the run and giving up 100 passer ratings to rookie QBs that have never seen an NFL field before.

anything is possible and I can see them "being in the hunt" but it doesn't look good for the playoffs this year

Yea how are the jets not mentioned? I see us getting swept by them and maybe split with buff and NE...so no we don't stand a chance, not with our current corners

I just want to see some consistent improvement.....that's all....PLAYOFFS!!!????

We don't have the talent to make the playoffs. Our OL sucks at run blocking and our RB's are awful. Our defense stinks. The only time we light it up on offense is when the game is out of reach and we start firing away at full speed with nothing to lose. This is going to be one long and painful season to watch.

Total agreement. Playoffs only matter if you have a prayer of getting anywhere in them. And we don't right now.

And that's OK. With consistent improvement, we'll get there.
