Do not resign Tua

And lost how many super Bowls again?

I despised that Buffalo team. I respected the heck out of them but despised them. And yes, I think Marino was much better than Jim Kelly (and pretty much everybody else who has played QB). But I'd rather get to 4 straight Super Bowls and lose all 4 than never get there at all during that stretch.

I wouldn't wanna do that .the Vikings did the same

The Vikings didn't lose 4 straight. They lost Super Bowl 4 with Joe Kapp and Super Bowls, 8, 9 and 11 with Tarkenton. Similar situation though. At the end of Super Bowl 26 (Redskins Vs Bills), John Madden said something along the lines of "I have always said the greatest disparity in sports is between the winner of the Super Bowl and the loser of the Super Bowl". As a fan, I'd still rather get there.

Marino was a stat hound like Rogers is today.
Never allowed a run game ala Czonka and Kiick to be developed.
Shula was just a coach in name only.. Marino called the shots.
NO SBs for Marino? Why? Shula was a SB winning coach.

I want to resign him of course but I just finished watching hard knocks and he has really let himself go as the season progressed, Jesus that’s just a lack of self discipline, not good

So this is where all the haters are hanging out... Hey glad to see you guys!

Oh hey you over there, hows it going, long time no see!

Whats up man, just came outta the woodworks i see. What a coincidence

Eh dude, where have you been these past few weeks?

We will agree too disagree. The only stat Marino cared about was winning. This has been reiterated by LeBatard and Peter King. Marino saw the Dolphins' attempts at a running game for what they were--inferior (Tony Nathan, Woody Bennett, David Overstreet, Andra Franklin, Pete Johnson, Lorenzo Hampton, Troy Stratford, Sammie Smith, Mark Higgs, Terry Kirby, Bernie Parmalee, Irving Spikes, Karim Abdul-Jabbar, Lawrence Phillips, John Avery, Cecil Collins, and James Johnson) . He believed he was their best chance to win.

I'm not naive enough to believe Dan didn't want to pass every down. But ultimately, he cared about winning. He felt his weapons were the best chance to do that.

Bingo. Indeed he wanted to win, but because he, not Shula controlled the play calling, they mostly lost in games vs Kelly's Bills. Rogers loves his MVPs.

I feel like this board needs to be shut down for a few hours after games to let people deal with their emotions.
