Do the Fins already have the next Miles Austin/Victor Cruz?

Gates is that guy remember him? they need a receiver but wait after the June cuts.

The offense will be productive because it's a ball control type of offense. If Tannehill is there at 8 IMO please take him, package your 2 #3's to move up to the bottom of the first or beginning of the second, and get Stephien Hill, or that broyles kid from oklahoma, use their #2 to get a defensive end.

I wouldn't be suprised at all to see one or two of the unproven WRs on our team to do well. IMO Sparano's coaching staff wasn't that good at teaching young players to be good football players. If you h

IMO Sparano's coaching staff wasn't that good at teaching young players to be good football players. If you had talent and good coaching from college you could have moderate success under Sparano.

Hopefully Gates can be a ted ginn with hands, but thats a long shot for him to get us 700+ yards.. Moore? He had one big play ever, has some iffy hands.. Wallace could be decent but probably too slow and he may not create enough constant seperation. Pruitt? Nah, been on the PS for a couple years now, looks to be a good ST guy though.

I think your potential good WRs are Gates/Wallace, but you cannot bet on that. I'm sure we will get a WR, but who and when? In the 4th? No, we need one high. Someone that can come in and be a good target to rely on when you need a play. I don't care if the WCO is based on the whole core or not, you need a play maker. Remember those defenses that doubled marshall every game? Well thats gonna go somewhere else now, either an insane rush that our mediocre o-line can't handle, or locking up Bess/Hartline to where they can't even get a look. We are also banking on a rookie WR to replace a guy that demanded double teams.

Well Dorrel did a good job with our receivers remember Bess and Hartline he developed them pretty damn well

Since the trade of Marshall, the FO has been adamant that each move has been thoroughly planned and executed. That we can't see the big picture yet, but it's slowly coming to fruition.

This leaves me to wonder: do they plan to make WR a top priority in the draft? I don't believe we'll use the #8 on a receiver, but Green Bay made a hobby out of using 2nd round picks on receiver (Jennings, Nelson, Cobb).

Or perhaps, could we have a pro-bowl WR already on the team? We've heard over the last couple years how talented Wallace, Pruitt, and Moore are and how well they practice. Could it be time one of them steps up big for the Fins, ala Austin or Cruz? Both guys went from practice/preseason stars to pro-bowlers in a very short time.

Haha Who's heard this? Because from what I see on the field, they all have little to no talent. These guys blow.

Let's hope Gates can be turned into a nice player.

Hoops, who do you like at receiver I the 2nd and 3rd round? No love for McNutt? Why not others love the guy. I think a guy like Joe Adams would be a nice fit if he's around in the 3rd or 4th round. 2nd round guys might be streeter or Randle if he drops.

after the top 3 wrs come off the board ie blackmon floyd and wright i don't see the value in a wr with the #42 pick...i just don't...i would be more inclined on a sanu or a randle in the 3rd round than high 2nd personally so i'd probably look at another position all together in round 2...in round 3 if both guys i just listed were off the board i like joe adams and i think at that point i might pull the trigger on the jones kid from cal...

as for mcnutt i didn't see him separate from anyone at the senior bowl i'd be more inclined with that guy in the 5th round range...if at all

somewhere in that 3rd -4th round range ryan broyles and ty hilton also come into play i'd say...

i'm not a fan of streeter at all...

I think you will see Miami look at some good technicians on day 2 of the draft. Guys like Marvin Jones from Cal and the Givens kid from Wake. I doubt Streeter fits their profile, but I think he may be someone to look at as well based on his high ceiling.

I'm confident that Miami will draft at least two receivers. Possibly a couple on day 2 and another on day 3.

Go into camp with Hartline and Bess as locks.

Gates would be in good shape but by no means a lock if we draft 3 receivers with technical abilities, where Gates has been lacking. I'm hoping Gates' year of experience and some coaching will help him considerably because he can be electric.

In addition to Gates, the 3 draft picks, Wallace, Pruitt and Moore battle for 3-4 spots. I think we take 6 WR with the WCO. I see Moore on the outside looking in. He doesn't have strong hands. Its put up or shaddap time for Wallace. There is potential there, though, and maybe O'Keefe and the new coaches can get it out of him.

These 6 could be do-able.

Hartline
Bess
Gates
Wallace
Two of Givens, M Jones, Streeter, Hilton, Broyles, Joe Adams, McNutt, Cunningham

This is a very deep receiver draft, and a good opportunity for Miami to get 2 receivers on day 2 or even in the 4th-5th.

Best case scenario, Miami's receiver corps will be a work in progress this year.
