I'll be the first to say the Dolphins are going to loss a game if that's how I feel. But after watching our team yesterday, and what the Jets did... If we work on the penalties, I say we leave NJ with a win...
We need to put a lot of pressure on Pennington, or hopefully, Fiedler! *lol*!
Honestly..we can beat the Jets..but it will be tough. I think the 6 pts spread is about right. It is imperative that we put pressure on Pennington, as he makes bad throws under pressure. Shutting down Martin will be huge...but it wont be easy.
Their D is much better than Denver's so...dont look to dominate nearly as much this week. They will be stunting alot to try and confuse our O Line so discipline will be big. Also remember it will be loud in NJ..and we had 5 false starts at home..so this will be huge to stay aware. Might have to have Gus go to a silent snap count.
Where we have the edge is in coaching. Saban has already disected the Jets game films I am sure and is full aware of their tendencies. Look for us to create mismatched with Welker again alot. Their D will be amped..so I would also look for mis direction plays to take advantage of them over pursuing.
I have a feeling it will be a close one at first..as Saban looks to losen them up. But dont be suprised if he and Linehan start off no huddle and go deep to try and take the crowd out of it early.
Big, tough division game. We win this one..and folks..we are for real.
Yes. All we have to do is chase Pennington from the game, shut down the run, get the lead, and wait for the fiddler to come in. If Jason & Zach don't have bad intentions towards the noodle armed franchise flusher after their time together, they are more forgiving than Jesus. Since the day they signed that stupid feringi, I've been waiting to see our dfense do to him what everybody else did to us. He will sustain a beating, seriously.
The Dolphins *can* beat the Jets. Miami will have to play as effectively as they did against Denver to do it, but they will also have to elliminate dead ball penalties. This week will be a good test for the secondary, OL, and Ronnie Brown.
I am just hoping for the same intensity level without all the mistakes. If they can do that, win or lose, it will be a very fun game to watch.
I think we'll win this game but the problem with rivalries like this is that you NEVER know whats going to happen. Games like this are always more intense and heated because of the bad blood but I think we'll leave the Meadowlands with a victory over the J-E-T-S.
I think if we have the intensity we had yesterday, we can come away with a W, but the thing is, this is a road game, and there's home advantage for a reason, i.e., home team sleeps in their own bed, have a regular routine to get to the game, and the jets defintely have a 12th man..so there's factors that an undispline team, even if better may not overcome..Our penalties can hurt us in a situation like this. Our OL will defintely have to run block a lot better than the bronco's game, which I still say we were playing cleveland West DL. That's not a ticket to gain confidence in our OL yet. This will be.
the Jest will have a bitter taste of a loss and then playing who they always pick them selfs up for. Im not counting my chickens before they hatch.. going to be a tough game up there. I hope we shut up the morons from there stupid chant.
like always it will come down to which team executes on both sides of the ball, doesn't turn it over, has limited penalties, and doesn shoot themselves in the foot.
The jets had 8 penalties, 7 fumbles, and an INT -- that's can't happen especially when they moved the ball . 3 red zone possessions and 0 pts , a dropped TD pass to Coles - a defense that didn't wake up until it was 17-0.
The phins can't have 3 turn overs or 11 penalties. There will not be 110 degree heat to help in the 4th quarter.
It will come down to field position and execution -- which team will do that? I hope the Jets and they win it 17-13.
Sure, our Defense is stout and our O is finding its way, we didn't give up one sack yesterday did we? After the second half I don't think we had more than 1 offensive penalty. The group is really coming together I think.
We best beat em'. I'll be at the game. I want to see all of them green losers crying on the way back to the parking lot. I sit in the family section for this game every year, and I enjoy seeing the little kids cry.
