A lot of our own fan are turning backs on our team, kinda makes me wonder how many you fans are really LOYAL?

Anyways, here is my opinion if Dolphins deserve to make the Playoffs?



YES I think Dolphins definitely deserves to be in the playoffs here are the KEY reasons!

1) We almost came back today 2-3 TDs down late in the game to almost win the game too!

2) We lost to the Indianapolis Colts (#1) less than 5 points. And, with New Orleans (#2) we had 20 some points lead on them but somehow they came back. We didn't lose to them bad at all!

3) But then, we are able to come back and beat New England

4) Our defense can be great, like last game vs the Jaguars hold them down to only 10 points, to win the game. The next game Jags played the #1 Colts the two teams played a 30+ points game.

We DO NOT suck like some fans have said.

We might not be a very Talented team, but we DO NOT suck.

Some teams like the Redskins, Lions, Chiefs are really qualified to be suck, but the teams we have BEAT are not even all suck teams. (Jets and Patriots are both not that bad)

Do we deserve to be in the playoffs?

If we beat the Steelers by more than 10 points, and the Ravens lose to the Steelers by 10 points, then HELL YEAH why shouldn't we deserve to be in the playoffs (OVER the Ravens)? If we beat steelers less than 5 points, or we lose, the verdict could go either way, but still not a bad team by any means.

To me, it's a fair gauge to see if we belong in the playoffs by going thru the Steelers.

Unfortunately, we do not play Raven or the Broncos head to head, but there is a real possibility we can beat those two teams too, who knows right?

The problems lies with the league's stupid rules that tied teams don't get to play each other head to head to see who is ACTUALLY better.

To recap, we are NOT a bad team by any means, just not Super talented like some of the better teams are.

Some of you fans are disgraceful, already given up! If we don't respect our own team, how do we expect any other fans to respect the Dolphins?

Screw the better draft possibilities for next year, I say we GO for the Playoffs and earn some RESPECT than that crap!!!
 
No!!!! Miami does not deserve to make the playoffs... For quality/competitive football's sake... Hopefully Miami does not make the playoffs.
 
How are we NOT competitive?

Again, we have PROVEN to be very competitive!!!

7-7 record with the hardest schedule in the league, not to mention a 1st year QB, starting RB and other key players out for the season, split with the Pats and swept the Jets. How are we not competitive. I believe we do deserve to get in there.
 
I'd say we absolutely deserve to be in. I believe in the "any given Sunday" rule, but take for example tonight Carolina manhandled Minnesota (arguably one of the best teams in the league), we beat Carolina squarely on a short week immediately following the loss of Ronnie Brown.

We took New Orleans and Indy to their two closest losses of the season (again arguably amongst the best teams in the league), we beat the Patriots with our depleted personnel and just like today came back from a large point defect in the process.

We have repeatedly shown that we possess the characteristics of a championship team, just because we haven't had the luck of winning 7 of our games in the last two minutes of regulation like Indy doesn't mean we couldn't take them to the dance if given the opportunity.

Just imagine some very small "what if" scenarios, Ginn makes that catch against Indy, we get good officiating against NO, Henne doesn't throw the pick today...all of a sudden you're looking at the clear division leader, that took out two undefeated teams, you think anyone would question if we deserved to be playoff bound then? Not a chance.
 
No. Even with all the injuries they've had there's quite a few games they had absolutely no business losing. I as a fan, however, deserve to see them make the playoffs and win the Super Bowl after all the money I've spent on this team the last 16 years.
 
We didn't deserve to make the playoffs the day we lost by 17 to the pathetic Bills.

That was the game to win

Defenses who are in the top 5 for most points allowed in the conference, and offenses with such a lack of weaponry in the passing game, don't deserve the playoffs

The Dolphins are right near the bottom of the conference for points allowed.. Right there with the crappy Browns and Raiders..

Sorry, that isn't a playoff team.

Playoff teams don't give up 400 points in a season - which is where the Dolphins will probably be.

Seems like many of you only capable of being a fan of team that's winning *sigh*

If you don't root for the Dolphins to be in the playoffs, when like DolfanAdam said we could be the team that Beat the Solts and Saints if... we are certainly VERY Competitive and go to round 2 in playoffs!

But we have to Win out from now on. If we win out, we deserve to be in. If we don't win out, we don't deserve to be in.
 
If you get in you get in. If you don't you don't. There's no who deserves what. It's too simple. If we get in great, how far will we go? Answer: Not far at all. If we don't get in, draft a need and start over again. I'm not getting into that which fans are loyal and which ones aren't. I'm a realist. I hold this team accountable and you should too. Where would this team be if the owners and GM's acted like fans do with this loyalty garbage? The owners, GM's, and coaches hold this team accountable and so do I. You should too.

Just because a fan criticizes their team doesn't make them a bad fan, nor does it mean they wanna jump ship and root for another team. Some people feel the Dolphins don't deserve to make the playoffs, but that doesn't mean they're gonna be rooting against it.
 
hell yeah we deserve it with all the injuries and games not go our way this year..just win these next 2 and pitt beat balt and jax lose to NE and were in..legit shot.
 
If you DON'T criticize your team you're a bad fan. A great fan is reasonable in their expectations yet holds their team accountable. If you're charging people $1000 for season tickets, hold them accountable. Call sports radio, write the local paper, start a blog, HAVE AN OPINION, and be realistic. Being a great fan isn't about selling your soul and being blindly loyal.
 
I don't think we're a playoff caliber team. Since 1987 I've been a big believer in YPPA and more recently YPPA Differential. Miami is easily the worst at YPPA Differential (offensive YPPA minus defensive YPPA) among the teams we are fighting against. We have some strengths these teams don't have, but in the playoffs our undependable passing game and porous pass defense would be front and center, and exploited:

If our record is not good enough, then no, we don't deserve to be there. Houston had a worse record than us, & they beat us. The Bills hammered us, we are .500 and are inconsistant. Just because we are competative, have the toughest schedule and should have won a few more games than what we have done, doesn't mean that we 'deserve to be there.'

Smell the roses. We are an average team at the moment. Nothing more, nothing less.
