Do We Have A Shot At Matt Schaub??

ill say it 1 more time we do not need starters back ups we have bad luck we have to draft a franchise Qb and sign like a Kitna who is proven or Mcnair

Atlanta sports talk radio guys said they will accept a 1st and 3rd but nothing less. hhheeehheh

Does he fit our offense??

Matt is a West Coast Offense player. He played it in college and in Atlanta. That is why he was so quick to be effective in Atlanta. I live there and last year in the preseason there were respectable people calling for Matt to start because he knew the offense better.

Why bring in another Feeley? You want a young guy from another team? Try Simms. He doesn't fit that WCO in Tampa at all.

I'll say it 1 more time. Kitna is no better than Frerotte. What would be the point? I personally haven't seen enough of Schaub to formulate an opinion. However, a backup on one team doesn't mean that player isn't capable of being a good starting caliber QB. I for one am not enamored by Vick like some in the media and in some NFL circles. I think he will never be more than what he is now (out of the playoffs). However, because of the money invested in him, I don't think the Falcons will ever give Schaub a realistic shot to be their starter.
Remember, Steve Young, Brett Favre and Mark Brunell were all backups at one point too.

Isso, give us a break...you'd take an old McNair or a second rate QB like Kitna over a potential up and comer like Schaub ??

Seriously...Schaub probably won't be available to us...but he does have a strong arm and is accurate. His only experience is in the WCO and would probably require a year to acclimate to Linehan's O....

We need to build for next year, the year after, and the year after, etc....not for one year only...

Franchise QB's are usually taken in the first 10 picks. Yes you can score with a stud later in the draft, but they don't start of as franchise QB's. As for Kitna, forget it. Gus is way more proven and the team already supports him.

I agree with no to Kitna but Gus has proven one thing with fins. He is way below average. Gladly there are no Terel Owens here to attack players on this team but I doubt anybody on this team is really that enamoured with Gus in reality.
