IMHO our lack of quality DT is just more of an excuse to use more of the 3-4.

Dont you need a big DT to play a 3-4? Right now the only healthy DTs we have on the team is Romero and Zgonina and Carter....

We cant play a 3-4 with Romero or Zgonina or Carter in the middle.....

If anything, our lack of DTs will make us play more 4-3. We will be signing an aging Traylor with NO one to back him up in a 3-4. You cant put that much wear and tear on Traylor's plate. If anything, we play more 4-3 with Carter and Traylor in the middle when TimBo retires and Chester isnt healthy.

If Chester is healthy, then yes the 3-4 would be an option if we sign Traylor because we would have 2 guys to rotate as the NT.

essentially its a blind bids system, ie a team enters the name of a player they want and the (2006) draft choice that they are willing to pay. highest bidder wins.

draft order is chosen on a three pool lottery system. we'd be in with the rest of the teams with 6 wins or less last season.

this year's supplemental hasn't been scheduled yet.

so our competition seems to be SF, CLE, CHI, ARI, TB, and TEN. Who needs DT the most?

it looks like if we go only 5-11 or 6-10 it will probally be because of the dline and qb positions and not solely on the rb.:cooldude: next year we may have to draft two dt's .

Yet another mistake fromthe Wannstedt/Spielman era. It will take three years to undo 95% of the damage those morons did to our beloved franchise. Speaking of morons, why hasn't Spielman been demoted or fired yet? Every time I think about us paying a 4th round pick to pass up a blue chip DT for a marginal guard I get more and more ticked. Spielman signed his own walking papers on that move. :fire:

In shape probably isn't the best word to describe Traylor.
