Do we have any NFL Europe talent?

You're probably right about Pape being our best prospect. Hopefully, we will be able to hide him on our practice squad because, as you brought up, we have a bit of a log jam at RT. Others to keep an eye on include Jack Hunt- former Saban player at position of need. Also, LS William Delahoussaye- we were in bad shape when we lost Ed Perry for the year.

Tony Pape is probably the only one worth keeping an eye on and I don't expect him to make any great moves, except maybe to the practice squad.

Pape is playing RT, however, keep in mind Ragone is Berlin's QB and he's a lefty so Pape is protecting his blind side.

Eric Wilson is a guard who has some NFL time and may be a practice squad canidate in that Whitely, Cook, etc are not eligible for the PS.

Hunt is a Saban guy at a position where we are thin, S. Will he make it? Likely no but he's worth watching!

Delahoussaye was an UDFA last season and did not make the club. He was an insurance pick-up in case Perry did not come back. He went to NFLE to see if he could do anything other than LS. He's been on IR (all season) as has Moa (him since week three or four) and thus we know no more now than before. I've not heard the extent of their injuries so their availability for camp is a question mark.

The others are not starting regularly in NFLE and will barely be camp fodder for us.

Matthew Walters, a.k.a. Matt Walters, a.k.a. the former Miami DT in the days of Dorsey and Andre Johnson. Didn't Delahoussaye suit up for us once when Perry was hurt?

Played against him when I was a Freshman in High School man was he good.(matt walters) He was drafted by the Jets and got alot of playing time his rookie year. Not sure what went wronge there. Was like a 3rd or 4th rounder I believe.

Lack of interest(ish) and money... I believe.

The Monarchs were famous for 'The Fridge' and they also had Brad Johnson for a year.

The Claymores were famous for Joe Andruzzi

I think Amsterdam and Barcelona are the only non German teams left.

To answer the original post - not a lot. There are very good reasons why these guys are over here. Admittedly some are developmental guys like Pape and Moa... but most just aren't good enough for the pros. Alphonso Roundtree did very well last year and Kendall Newson kinda tore it up.

crunchtime its me treckie from the site where you had a community going we have moved to here>>>dididave but as i cannot put url`s in ill have to try another way, its dididave with the same ending as this site HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL BACK SOON!!!!

btw, Pape's having a great season, I watch his last game, they run his way a lot, and his pass blocking been great..If he continue his growth, he could complete on this OL, but the cards are against him at RT, funny, someone has cards against them on this OL..

Ben Moa, I don't think has a chance.

I think Pape makes the team. The cards are against most of our OL in a weird way, we have many players with "potential", and a few vets we expect more of, I bet we see a surprise cut or two from the group. I have a feeling though that Pape will make the team.

If Pape can play here like he does in europe, I wouldn't mind seeing him start here, he's started every game over there and thus is getting a lot of experience. For him to start here is a long season for him, he may wear down. He should get a chance to see how effective he's been in europe when he gets to match up with JT, Kevin C., D. Bowens, and V. Holliday, that should defintely let a OT know if he's ready for the big times. They are all great DE's and vary greatly in their rush moves, so our OT's should be ready for just about any DE in the NFL.

Cant we only get players that we have allocated to NFLE?

We can get ours AND can sign those who are not allocated who are free agents. In the past we have signed a couple of those. In part to give them a chance, in part to fill holes in training camp, and in part because they give us an NFLE exemption, which means they don't count against the number allowed on the roster until the final cut-down to 53.
