Every mock draft i look at the 2 of the top 3 positions we are taking inthe draft are Rb and Qb

i for one saw true potential in Feely last year when he got time he produced every single time and i think we have 2 very competent Rb's

if we do take a RB or Qb why take it one in the third or later. I would say Feely is a third rd. Qb who has now matured while our 2 Rb's are as good as any 2nd or 3rd rounded as well. Along with all this Feely, Gordon and Minor are all young so why get another young guy of equal talent?

-WR-New O-cordinator showed what he could do with a great WR line-up
-OL-weakest part of team and could develop well under new O-line coach
-Defence- DT are old and injured, LB are great but old, CB lose Surtain, Safety lost everyone, De help out taylor

i think we need every position on the field besides maybe TE more then we need a Qb and with Ricky maybe comming back and 2 good backs we dont need a RB either so please stop asking for them

i think we need both, but i wouldn't spend the #2 pick on an RB if we stay there, especially with the depth of the class at RB.

we need a young gun at qb because, even if feeley continues to develop, he's gonna be 30 before he's fully up to speed.

we need an rb because we don't have enough depth, even if gordon lives up to his early potential.

i'd rather take smith/rodgers or edwards at #2.

also.... yes we need help at other positions, arguably more, but none of them represent #2 value. so, counting out a trade-down, those positions are out.

I don't agree, number one we have no bonafide starter, number two, there is no position on the field as important as the QB. Three, you don't spend the second pick in a draft and the big contract that goes with it to just any position.

The Dolphins "need" at RB is a lot less than it seems. Linehan can easily nab one of his former feature backs from Minnesota, who are itching to get rid of a few. The return of Ricky Williams now seems a fair shot at happening, and every free agent running back of any worth has expressed interest in wanting to play for the Dolphins.

I don't see this "need" at RB really being a need at all... Miami could likely nab Michael Bennett, Onterrio Smith, or Mewelde Moore for pocket change, and next year, Shaun Alexander WILL be a free agent, as Seattle has lost their ability to franchise him next season. Not to mention the RB corps is very, very deep this year, and guys like Vernand Morency, Darren Sproles, T.A. McLendon, and Ryan Moats should all be available when the 'Phins pick in the third round.

Runningback is classically an impact position by nature. You can't teach someone to be 6-7 just like you can't teach someone to have split-second instincts and moves. Running Backs come in the NFL every year in the later rounds and make an impact in their rookie seasons. How many Wide Receivers, Linebackers, or QBs can you say the same about?

As for QB, the Dolphins did trade their 2nd rounder (the 35th pick mind you) for QB A.J. Feeley, so one season behind arguably the leagues worst offensive line, and statistically the league's worst rushing game isn't exactly a fair assessment of his ability to lead the team. He also had the luxury of looking over his shoulder constantly worrying about being benched at the slightest error in judgement until late in the season.

It wasn't until week 8 last season that the same QB and RB combo started in the same game twice.

We need both, AJ has not proven a thing. And Gordon has not proven he can stay healthy.

We will not trade any picks for the Vikings backs (Saban wants picks and has said so more then once)

Saban wants to get younger. I feel we will draft both, the question is who we draft first, and right now I can't tell.

i could see us drafting a Rb at #2 because he could be a stud like LT,etc. But still why in the later rounds sure Gordon might get hurt again but its unlikely and Minor is there too as depth, chances are they wont both go down again. While i could see sraftig a Qb in a year or two for when Feely gets old but not now. Feely has at least 5-6 good years in him and he would be equal to any QB that we would draft now.

What happens if we lose 2 Lb this year which is more likely then losing 2 RB's, we would be screwed at that position, the same can be said for almost every other spot on defence

I believe we need to go rb in first and if we get a 2nd which we should, do not take a qb in the 2nd. The guys that are there qb wise will be there till the third as there really isnt that many teams who are looking for qb that high on theyre boards

Because Feeley is a not a bonafide starter, he did not play well last year, he is not a rookie and he wasn't a top prospect coming out.

He was a big gamble by Spielman that didn't prove anything last year except that he is as good as Fiedler and Rosenfel.

Once again we differ, cause while I agree that qb is the most important position, Smith is not a guarenteed bona fide starter. He is the latest love affair for some scouts, the latest flop to others. How he is brought along is my key to his success. If he is brought along like Pennigton was, I believe he will be a very good qb, if he is rushed like Couch, Brees and others, I think he fails. I just dont see spending the #2 pick on a guy that wont be ready for 2+ years, I also dont believe you pay a qb 4 mil to sit the bench. Rivers is sitting yes, but that wasnt their intentiuons when he was drafted. Had he not held out, he may have started from day 1. The qb debate will be a hot debate until someone proves himself beyond a shadow of a doubt. So debate away.

But Feely may become one this year and its not a small chance, its a good chance and id Feely flops then we have a capable vet to back up and next year we grab a Qb. San diego could have taken some of the best WR's to come to the draft in a long while but instead went for a Qb and now they cant get rid of him, i think we will be wasting a pick if we go Qb and we only got 2 good ones.
