Jerry was a 3rd rounder and before murtha got injured,I think he was on his way to possibly beating out turnstile at RT.Jerry played 10 times better than I thought with long injured.I'm saying this because I think we need to fill some needs and some wants as well.So why not mold someone in house..I say let them battle it out and let's see who beats out who..I don't think they will be any worse than colombo..Use that free agency cash and draft.picks on impact players.

i think it would work but wouldnt mind brining in antony collins for insurance

i think we either need to fill our RG or RT spot with an early draft pick (Decastro or Reiff?) or with a big FA signing like Nicks.

Murtha & Jerry are sho' nuff NOT cornfed!! More like polenta!!

We need to fetch up some REAL cornfed ... if we're going to run/pound & keep our QBs from getting busted up.

Given his performance at LT, I feel like Jerry atleast earned a shot at RT or a guard spot

We need both. The only players really worth anything on our o line is pounced & long. The rest are in between backups and average starters. All year you fans were blasting Carey for being fat and slow, columbi for being a turn style, and Jerry for being a waste of a pick. Well, we have the chance to improve the o line. Let's do it. We take the bpa at each pick and if it's a rg/rt, then it can only improve the team.

I think Carey was bashed too hard at times. He was serviceable, definitely a shell of his former self. But I mean, you have to consider that he might've had to try to pick up Colombo's slack quite often.

I'd like to see Jerry @ LG, Zeitler (draft pick from Wisconsin) @ RG, & Garner @ RT.

It would not bother me to have Carey & Incog as backups.

I think we should sign someone or atleast draft someone in the 2-4 rd range. To just hand Jerry/Murtha the job isn't the smartest option imo. Atleast let them earn it.

Jerry has had his chances and he is not a starter. They must go out and get a quality RT and a quality Guard. If That Guard is better than Incognito, then Incognito should be moved to his more natural position which would be RG.

Well thank God I read the actual post. I was all like, "Of COURSE we need a right tackle. Otherwise I'm pretty sure it's an illegal formation! Unless...well, you put another guy on the scrimmage somewhere else. And that would be silly."

I created a thread (Gametime power rankings) asking the same question and got no response... I'll participate just for the sake of it... I perfer we resign Carey and move him back to RT and allow Jerry to start at RG, problem solved and we can use draft picks at other positions.

A combo of lydon, jerry and a draft pick should be good enough, as long as Colombo isn't RT.
