I know this is gonna seem like an easy answer at first.. but if you look at it, we have Joe Toledo and Anthony Alabi (G and T) that haven't seen any playing time. Do you think they should get a chance?

I mean yeah they are unproven but the Jets went into last year with D'Bricashaw (sp?) Ferguson and Nick Mangold as starters at G and C and they hadnt played one down in the pros before then.

Every team finds good offensive lineman on mistake. I think its time to mistakenly find some good ones by ourselves instead of bringing in other teams trash. Look at all our good O-Lines. The anchors of the line, Tim Ruddy and Richmond Webb, were both drafted by Miami.

O-Linemen are like QBs, they are built to fit a certain system and only that system.

Also, is CJ Brooks still on the roster.. they were grooming him to be the next G/C of the Phins. Is he still on the roster?

You definately answered your own question> mangold and ferguson were elite prospects at thier positions, not major injury injury prone projects like Toledo that did not have a full season of OL under his belt or a major project like Alabi who has been here for two years and barely played even though our line sucked. Even if both these guys are good we still need more good linemen so there is major need to draft oline.Myself I would draft at least two olinemen in draft. our problem is that we keep drafting projects on the cheap instead pf committing to make our line better.

the dolphins have 6 on the roster 3of them have very little experiance you do the math

We need at least 2 new O-linemen. Real good ones. I would love to see Ben Grubbs still around in the 2nd round but he probably won't be. If Cam likes how rookie left tackle Marcus McNeill did with the Chargers (he made Pro Bowl alternate), he'll probably like Ben Grubbs. If Cam and Hud want a good guard, he's a solid choice for our 2nd round pick.

"Is he a first-round talent? How good is Ben Grubbs, how will his skills transfer to the NFL, and why will he succeed if it happens? To Rob Rang, Senior Draft Analyst for NFLDraftScout.com, Grubbs is as sure a thing as there is in this year’s draft. “Grubbs is NFLDraftScout.com's top ranked offensive guard, and a likely first round pick,†Rang said on Wednesday. “He is viewed as a pure guard, as opposed to Texas' Justin Blalock and Tennessee's Arron Sears, who each have experience at tackle."

"Grubbs' athleticism, size, strength, and intensity make him arguably the top guard prospect from the SEC since Alan Faneca left LSU in 1997. Grubbs should compete for Pro Bowl accolades early in his career. The interior line is among the strongest positions in the 2007 draft. Grubbs, along with USC center Ryan Kalil, are the principal headliners of the group"

No matter what, you always need depth and guys ready to step in and start if need be on the line.

Its been a long time since the days of Dwight Stephenson and Jim Langer and its been that long since we had a really good Center. Its been a long time since Ricmond Webb covered Marino's backside and its been that long since we had a really good or even a decent Left Tackle. These positions will have to be filled with players that are more than mediocre before Miami can ever field a good offense that is respected by other teams.
Yes, we need to keep bringing in OL until we have a "Good" offensive line and this is JMO.

Right now there are only 7 O-linemen on the team. If Alibi starts at LT, like he is projected to, that means that Shelton will go back to guard giving us only 2 tackles on the team (Alibi and Carey). Yes, we need to get some depth at tackle.

GO PHINS~!

We get ourselves either a guard of a center in the draft and then grab a veteran tackle that could play both the right and left side with solid efficiency.

I think people are so used to us having a horrible line that they still think it is a problem that we need to address. I also believe that it would be good for us to draft a lineman in the second round such as Joe Staley however, i do not want under achevier Levi Brown, because it wouldn't be the best value at the number 9 position in this years draft.

That's not a bad plan either, but if we move Shelton back to LG where he played well last year we really only need to worry about getting backups/future starters at LT and RT. I totally agree about a center. See my mock in my sig.
