I think that Berlin has more potential then Feeley does at this point in their careers. Berlin is only a rookie while Feeley is a 4 or 5 year vet. Feeley has yet to EARN a starting job (I don't think he earned it from just barely beating out Feidler) and has pretty much been a career back-up who has gottin chances to start but hasn't shown enough to keep his job yet. Berlin is still very young and just had a good Sr. year. So who has more potential at this point in both of their careers?

I say Berlin does because he is younger and just had a good Sr. season

Berlin is exactly the kind of guy Saban thinks he can build his team around. I know that sounds strange, but his QB's have never been all world. He just wants his QB to execute and follow his plan. There are alot of QB's out there who are not starting who could on this team right now. AJ is wearing himself out of Sabans plan because he should be miles above the others and he is not. Which means he doesnt have it all. His work ethic and some of the things he has said is not the attitude Saban is looking for even though he said the right things yesterday.

I agree:

I would like to see Berlin start a preseason game to see how he does with the starters:cool:

Plus Saban recruited Berlin out of High School.

Berlin, I feel is younger but in regards to talent, closer to A.J. than age would dictate. I hope we keep him around, albeit on the practice team if anything but I think he could develop into a solid back-up. NFL Europe, here you come, Brockney!

I don`t think Berlin is anywhere near the QB that Feeley is...at least not yet. He`s a rookie who hopefully will make the team, sit and watch Frerotte this year, maybe go to NFL Europe for a season or two, and then hopefully he`ll have what it takes to have a successful NFL career. But, you can`t compare him to AJ yet.

I just looked up Berlin's bio. He was a Sociology major-I like that. As for the topic whether he has the potential or not, I don't know. But I'm sure Saban would like nothing better than to have Berlin succeed and be able to take over the starting position. It would make him look like a genius and he could address other needs next year.
