Do you Guys give credit for anything?

I give credit to our D for playing lights out most of the game.

I give credit to Will Poole for showing that he just might be the steal of the draft.

I give credit to McMichael for showing the emotion our O-line lacked.

I give credit to Chambers for wanting the damn ball and doing good things when he did have it.

I give credit to Lamar Gordon for not wanting to punch an o-lineman everytime he was tackled at/behind the line of scrimmage.

I give credit to Budweiser for that Leon commercial with Joe Buck. Brilliant!!!

How is that sad? How can it be the only posititve?

1st on Offense, our young QB looked scared, hesitant and didn't make very good decisions.

The Offensive line looked like a pop warner squad out there.

The running back showed nothing; I would have at least raised an eyebrow if Gordon would have run his O Line over just once to prove a point.

Booker was no exsistant, and on the touchdown drive Cincy was playing prevent instead of blitzing.

2nd On Special Teams:

1 good play out of how many punts/kickoffs? One, to what 4 fumbles?

3rd Defense:

This group played well, but collapsed when it really counted.

I have watched many Dolphin games, and last nights ranked up there with the loss to Jax in the playoffs. No, the score wasn't that bad, but the play I think was worse.

I think somehow the in between is about where things should be. We played horrid on offense last nite, everyone on the unit deserves blame. How that is debateable I dont know. Teh debate is what it means for the future.

Questions that need to ne answered:

1. Is the o-line (substituting Mac for Smith) as bad as it seems or is teh cohesion not there?

2. How long will it take Gordon to get comfortable? It is unfair to ask him to show his full potential in a week.

3. Can AJ learn from his mistakes and get comfortable? Can he calm himself down and play within himself?

4. How long should he be given to get a comfort level with CC? Both ints returned for TDS were the result of 2 people being on diff pages, To me since it was twice, it is on AJ to make sure he knows what teh receivers are seeing and why they ran the routes they did and maybe adjust his reads accordingly. Can he get it done quickly?

AJ is young, either sit him and say we are going to sit him and let him learn or start him and live with the growing pains. waffling isnt going to help anyone. a qb looking over his shoulder starts with one strike. I realize it will be hard to watch at times, but considering teh offense as it sits has been together for about two weeks or less, it will take time. TO me this is where Wanny screwed up and yes I was looking for a silver kining before when Jay was named to start Tenn game, he should have named a starter after week 2 of preseason, even if it was Jay, and let him get the reps and time with the O. Now I believe Aj should and is teh right choice, he is young and has the skills physically, I believ he has the intelligence and is a gamer, he is inexperienced and wiull make mistakes. The BIG question is, can he learn from them? I believe he can and will as Gordon gets more comfortable and the line plays better.

Was there anything that team did last night to think that 4 wins is possible? Seriously, I think they will win 4, but last night they would have been lucky to beat UCLA.

Now that is an idiotic comment......

After watching that game last night...I feel that my revised prediction (after Ricky, Boston) of 9-7 is dead on........

That Defense was unreal.....the offense will gel enough to win a few games....

At least now we know what the season has come down too......WE MUST WIN the next two games....PERIOD....if we do...we will be 9-7....

:shakeno:

Last night is not nearly as bad as Jax loss. And the Bengals did blitz on the touchdown drive, how else would McMicheal be so wide open?

Wow, another thread where you say something is an idiotic comment, there is a shock.

And after the comment, you follow it up with the usual. NOTHING

And the defense did not collapse........Arturo freeman did not close as fast as he should have...that pass to Chad Johnson had interception written all over it.....

Let me see if I can grab a clip of that play....

I don't know, maybe I need to watch the game again, although, I was sober last night :roflmao:

Hey you are the guy that said that we couldn't beat a bad college team.....I think my comment about the idiocy of that statement was right...care to defend it instead of babbling on and on?

Let me see:

We played a rookie QB that was a total disaster although I think he will be better down the line.

We played with Bowens, Konrad, Surtain, Minor, McIntosh and Howard Out...All Important players...

We played with the worst offensive Line performance in team History.

We had two tackles that were allowing our Rookie QB to take 13 HITS.

We gift wrapped 7 points to them on a interception return.

We had an offense that was determined to get a crucial penalty every time they got anything going.

We had a punt returner that was determined to break the NFL record for muffs in a game.

All this AND....We still almost won the game!!!!!
First off AJ is not a rookie. Why people continue to say this kills me.

The rest is correct, but remember too that Cincy was also playing with a QB making just his second start.

:stupid:

Put things into perspective....what do you think the outcome would have been last night had the other team been the Eagles or Patriots on their home field? Much as they're improved, it's the Bengals with a rook at QB, not a perennial playoff team we were up against.

Eventually the defense will be frustrated by the offense's lack of scoring, fingers will start to point, and the locker room will split. If the OL continues this play we'll be no better than 5-11.

like I said what does last nite mean to future games? Does it help us learn or do we accept defeat and realize the seaon is over and why watch? There were a ton of mistakes, most or many are the result of guys not having much PT together and are not comfortable with each other. That comfort takes time. I for one am waiting to see Sundays game to see if any improvement has been made. Like I said a month ago, if we suffer thu the growing pains and come out the other side with real offense to me is worth it, If we dont't then Wanny and Rick will answer for it.
