was just talking about that with my wife after the game... we could move up to second in our division before we even play on Sunday if NE loses.
 
How bout we worry about just winning one game at a time, if we keep winning, then all that other good stuff comes along with it. We lose, then that dream is gone lol..
 
Nonetheless, when was the last time we could even seriously have this discussion?

I'm so pumped for next week's game. I'm driving from NY to Sarasota and am meeting up with my friend David, who's a huge Raiders fan and a great friend, and we're bringing his five-year-old son to his first football game.

Can't WAIT!!!

Right, im going to next weeks game too :D. So im also pumped about it.

How so?

The Jets and Patriots both have a game up on us and they play each other. So if the Jets win, we would move into second place. But if they lose, we would remain in 3rd place because the Jets have a tiebraker over us.

nonetheless, it would put us in position to control our own destiny.
 
well I think WE the fans can focus on the senerios, don't worry about the players, sparano smacks them upside the head any time they mention anything besides the "next" game.
 
Sundays just don't come soon enough do they?

Exactly! We would actually need the Jets to lose their next two games because even if they go 1-1 and we win both games, we would be tied at 7-4 and they would have the tiebreaker (for the moment) by virtue of their week 1 win against us. Jets could easily lose their next two (at Pats then at Titans).

That said, I hope the Patriots win on Thursday. I don't want them coming into our house off a loss, thinking about how we embarrassed them last time and with an extra 3 days to prepare for it. Not a good combo. At least if they beat the Jets, there's the chance (albeit remote) that they look past us. Not that we need them to look past us, we've shown we can beat them any place, any time. But it always helps when your opponent has an over-inflated ego.
 
What if the Jets or the Pats win there next two games to then we are in second
if the jets beat the pats this week and we win this week we will be in second place in our divsion
