as bad as our record shows. I mean we started 1-6 and then 5-4 the rest of the season. If you look at the talent on this team its much better than 6-10. We have Brown an all around back, Culpepper a type five quarterback, a deep wide reciever core, and an average line. People always say how bad our offense is. I don't think it's that bad. People forget best player (Culpepper) was out for most of the season. When Brown was out those 3 games our 2 best offensive players were out. We all know how good our defense is. Our front 7 is very good. The secondary is very poor even though we have some pretty good players(Hill, Allen, Bell). My point is that with the right coach and the right offseason moves, I don't think we are that far away from the playoffs.

I do think we are better than our record states.

Dumb luck and dumb mistakes have cost us some close games. We have above average talent.

i agree we are talented, but the inconsistency?!? we trounce the undefeated bears, shut out the patriots, hold our own against the colts, then get beat up by the mediocre bills..that's not an ability problem, but something inside the players heads..hopefully a new coach can fix that problem..

I think we're a good OC, decent HC, and a couple players away from being pretty good. But not expecting a turnaround like the Saints had this year, unless Daunte reverts back to his Pro Bowl form of 2004, and the new HC fires Mularky & gets us a decent OC in here. Also need maybe just 1 LT on the OL to make the offense play much better if DC does well. You're right, we are not that far away from being a winning team.

Or inside the organization as a whole. I had no idea until Saban left, at how he caused so much friction between himself and players and staff.

Yes, I think we are much better than what our record shows. Bad luck this year . . . but as bad as the luck goes this year . . . if Daunte gets back healthy and some of these 06 draft picks come around and w/ a good 07 draft . . . and a few FA signings . . . I mean the talent is there. We need a HC that can bring it together.

like Chan Gailey

Our Best offensive player is Ronnie Brown. Between him and V. Carey, everybody is replaceable.

we are better then our records says..... i think we are a few off. players away from being a playoff contender. the d is getting old but they were still top 5 in the league, and with lets say a top 10 off we should be 10-6 instead.

this year alone we were a few dumb playcalls and a few dumb on the field mistakes from being atleast 8-8 or 9-7

A QB who can't run, and has trouble reading defences is our best offensive player? Know we are really in trouble.

That isn't a "point" it's just the same kool-aid drinkin' babble that's been fed to this organization over the course of the last decade.

You gonna tell yourself that every year? Or eventually will the record actually sink in and you realize that our record is indicative of the product we're putting out there on the field?

That's just denial. Go ahead man, blame every season on bad luck, bad breaks, or whatever have you. This franchise is what it is. It's a team that hasn't made the playoffs in over half a decade. It's struggling to find production at QB. It cannot consistently draft and groom successful players. It cannot find a coach who's committed to turning the ship around without letting his ego destroy everything.
