Does anyone have sympathy on Favre?
I don't because, well, he's a Jet.

But I do wish he had a better last play. I mean come on his last play ended as an illegal forward lateral that he made and he didn't even play the last play.

Sad..but old greats don't know when to say "It's over"

Nope. He turned somwhere in the last two years from a gunslinging gambler, tough guy to a ***** *** diva.

The guy is dead to me and it has nothing to do with the uniform.

i have no sympathy for him at all...especially with the way he tried to play the Packers organization...he really does need to hang it up permenately....

Nah, he's got his ring, records and legacy. I'm sick of the offseaon retirement drama he puts us through every year. **** Brett Favre and the Jets, I'm so happy Pennington went in there and stuck it right up their rears.

Were you going for the "Most One-Sided Poll in Finheaven History" award? Cause you might get it.

As a player, yes. I think he's had a fine career and I hate seeing people go out on such a bad note.

But, with that said, I think his shenanigans this offseason were far beyond his normal level of ridiculousness, and I don't like what he did to the Packers organization. So rest assured, I howled with laughter after each interception. But to be fair, he didn't vote himself into the Pro Bowl either (and I really am at a loss for who did, being that he had a bad season).

Early in his career I used to like him. But I haven't liked him the past 2 or 3 years. He is such a drama queen. It's all about him. Hope he is finally gone, but with him I doubt it.

I don't see how anyone could feel bad for his last play being what is was. His mental mistakes were killer throughout the last half of his career and he was lucky that so many starstruck sportscasters overlooked them.

The tragedy has always been that the guys like Pennington are overlooked while Favre's mistake prone play is glorified.

No, I have absolutely no sympathy at all for him. He is a drama queen that, over the past 3 or 4 years, has been more concerned with padding his stats than actually leading a team. Regardless of what his numbers are or people say about him, he's not worthy to even stand in the shadow of QB's like Marino, Aikman and Elway. Screw Favre. Now, the way Marino's career ended was a tragedy.....HE is who I sympathize with.

Ha Ha No but I'll take it if you give it to me.
I could win that award easily.
"Do you like the Patriots?"
That'd be the most lopsided poll ever.

He stayed to break and pad Marino's TD record and I predict after he hears Payton's footsteps growing louder, - he'll agree after much begging to return with another sucker team to try to put more distance between them, even if he has to sacrifice 2 INTs for every incremental TD!

Couldn't have said it better. I loved Brett when he was in Green Bay. I think people oversimplify him changing his mind about retirement last year. Nobody knows what that's like until you've retired from something you've ate, slept and breathed (and loved) your whole life. I get tired of hearing John Madden and others constantly fauning over Favre, but the guy has been one hell of a player in the NFL.

Good luck, Brett, and enjoy retirement!
