Yeah why would we want to compete in this league?
Another classic thread from fans who don't give a **** about our team. Let's settle for what's not good enough because we don't want to have to compete with other teams. ****. The whole ****ing point of this sport is competition and achieving what everyone else is after.
I would put Detroit ahead of us because of the playmakers they have, not sure about the location factor though, that may tip it back to Miami some.
Personally even though he hasn't got the job done as an owner I would rather have Snyder as an owner because at the very least he has sought out the best to make his team a winner and when it hasn't worked out he hasn't hesitated to move on. Jones may be meddling but he has a few superbowl rings as an owner and definitely got stuff done.

No way man. He's the polar opposite of Ross, which is equally bad. We need a good middle ground. An owner who doesn't become buddies with his staff and is willing to move on when it's clearly time (now), but also willing to stay out of the football side of things. Snyder and Jerry get involved not only in player acquisition, but also in who starts and who doesn't. No thank you. And Jerry only won those rings by hiring a coach who stood up against his meddling, which he likely won't do again. He clearly prefers puppet coaches like Wade Phillips.
he still hired that coach and even a meddling owner who plays Gm has as good a record as our team does with a supposed actual gm.
He has three superbowl rings as an owner while our owner has yet to have a winning season in his 5 seasons as owner. In Jones tenure they have at least basically went to the playoffs half of the years he has owned them. Not many owners have three superbowl rings. As for Snyder yes I wouldn't want him either but at least he is not content with mediocrity. Seems like 7-9 to 8-8 is bliss to ross each season
Right, because flying across the country the country in a last ditch effort to land Harbaugh is not seeking someone out. Publicly saying you will do whatever it takes to get Peyton Manning to Miami is not agressively going after someone. Some of you are like Slot Machine junkies, just pull the wheel of coaches and grab some new coaches. Oh, they didn't work in two years? Yank that arm again!

That's why he said he had serious thinking to do ... Most likely people WILL lose their jobs. All because Ross thinks 8-8 is bliss? That makes about as much sense as Mogwai saying I don't care about the team. If Ross thought 7-9 and 8-8 were bliss, we'd still have Wanny or Sparano.
I'm not opposed to keeping Philbin. Ireland has to go, obviously, but I'd be okay with Philbin staying. Sherman and Coyle, on the other hand, are horrible. It simply doesn't take that long to turn a team around anymore. Maybe it did back in the 70's or whatever, but in the modern NFL with cheap rookie contracts and free agency, there is no excuse for this team not being a playoff team, particularly with how weak the AFC, and AFC East in particular, was.
Why not let me look at this situation. If MIA was to fire thier coach and GM this is how I would rank them in according to the other teams.
Houston - Best job OPEN IMO. Top pick to get your QB you want, and a heck of a defense. (think this is O'Brien anyway so unless you wanted him you are really not competing with them)
2nd (tied) - Detriot and MIA - Both seem to have franchise QBs. Both seem to have good players in place, if I was to give an edge here I would have to give it to MIA, because of better cap space, and not a bunch of undisciplined players on their Roster.
3rd - Minny - New stadium, AP and a pretty decent Roster
4th - TB - Depends if they like Glennon (sounds like Lovie Smith)
5th - CLE - Lot of Picks, decent talent on defense and arguablly a stud at WR in Gordon
6th - Washington - Medling Owners turn off coaches, Dallas would be here too because of that.
Then if I mention Oakland and Tenn, I think they fall
Tenn would be 4th
Oak would be 5th
Really based on this I would see you REALLY competing with Winny, Detriot, Clevland and Houston.
