I'd say its hard to know what Saban is thinking on Linehan...unless he gets a offer to coach somewhere else...I don't see Saban dumping him for several reasons. Who would Saban get to replace him and does Saban want to admit he made a mistake with Linehan...if he truely feels that way.

I think it all depends on how this offense responds during the remainder of the season. If Linehan can somehow turn it around, I think Saban will give him another shot in 2006. With a different QB of course....

If I had to make a decision today however, he'd be gone. He just hasn't blown anyone's socks off, or made even a decent showing in Miami. I think Saban wants someone who runs a more spread offense....

PHINZ RULE!!!

i want the Colts offensive coordinator.....no reason in particular, i just do:lol:

i swear:rolleyes:

It sounded like Saban wasn't that concerned with wins and losses as much as building a team for the future, so I don't see him getting rid of Linehan based on one year's performance.....Linehan's play calling has been pretty questionable but he doesn't have much of an offense to work with other than RB, "Oops Chambers," Ricky at times, Welker, and McMike.

I think the problem with Linehan is he still thinks he has Randy Moss catching passes. How many of those corner fades have to be incomplete before he realizes they don't work with our personnel?

It would all depend on Linehan IMO, if he gets an HC job somewhere in the league, than I see him going, but not because of Saban...

I think the problem with Linehan is his lack of focus on what's working and what's not. It seems like whenever something is working, he changes it for no reason, and vice-versa.....

It's almost like he's not paying attention to the momentum of the game, or to the flow of the offense{when there is one to speak of}....

He has good ideas, but the execution is among the worst I've seen. Our offense has the worst red-zone converting percentage in the NFL. That has to fall on Linehan....

PHINZ RULE!!!

there is no doubt linehan has given saban more reasons to let him go than bring him back. if you've had trouble recognizing that to this point, watch cbs sunday at 4pm est.

Difficult to know at this point.
Linehan could change his strategy to one that works. Or maybe Saban isn't evaluating Linehan closely this year in as much as he is evaluating the players.

Peyton is their offensive coordinator.

Aint that the the truth. Did you see in the Sunday game the coaches sent the punt team in on 4th down and Peyton just waved them off? He got the guys up to the line and gave it to edge for the first down. Earler in the year when they had the Monday night game Maden said that at least some of the time the o cordinator dosnt even call plays anymore. They just send in ideas like "run left, or run right" and then Peyton actually calls the play. I have never seen a qb that is given as much responsibility to run an offense as the Colts give him.
