Do you think Shula has a tighter bond with Griese or Marino??

Im not sure if its true, but everytime i see a Dolphins game, its always Shula and Griese up in the box. I hardly ever see Marino in the box with him. maybe a seperate box, but hardly ever in the same. Not tryin to scrape up anyhting..just something i thought about, maybe he has that extra closness with Griese being that he had the Championships and all.
 
They are both like sons to him most likely

Bob just happens to be the son that won him a superbowl :lol:

Gotta remember Dan works for CBS on Sundays.
 
What's the age differential between Shula and Griese? It may be that Dan's more like a son and Bob is more like a brother due to age.

more like father to Griese and gramps to Marino. Keuch is like the crazy neighbor

I've been lucky enough to see Shula publicly with a limited number of people a few times and it's my opinion that his personal feelings for them is much the same. But on both occasions he said that Dan Marino was the greatest player he ever coached.
 
I'm sure Shula thinks of Marino and Griese equally. Now Johnny Unitas could be a different story, those 2 did not like each other.
Like a previous poster said, Marino does "work" on Sundays. I'm sure if he wasn't, Dan would be in that box with Bob and Don.

Hard for Dan to be at the games with him while he's working in New York in the CBS booth.
 
Doesn't Griese do play by play on the Fins games? I know he's not with CBS (or I think I do) but remember Griese doing all the preseason games anyway. So does Griese do the games for local radio or just the preseason games?

I think Griese does college games?
 
Griese does both the preseason games for the Dolphins on CBS4 and does college games on ABC/ESPN
 
I think Shula has a tighter bond with Griese probably.

I think he liked & respected Danny a little too much. He basically let him run the offense for all those years, maybe under a different coach Marino might have won a Superbowl...
