Do you think Tannehill is going to be the next David Carr?

Do you think he'll survive the onslaught?

I just don't understand why people do selective extrapolation. 4000 yards + and 20TDs + sound good but if you do that take the bad as well. Based on an extrapolation Tannehill would also have 21INTs and 12 lost fumbles accounting for 33 turnovers.

I just don't get it.:rolleyes2:

Intention was to not leave out the bad, you raise a good point. The turnovers must stop but you also can't deny that some of those turnovers are a direct correlation to the poor offensive line play (which you could say the same about Carr).

Ultimately, Tannehill needs to start making better decisions on some of his throws, but I still believe he is far more talented than David Carr ever was.

Tannehill has a very short memory. Carr heard footsteps coming out of the shower.

I'm sorry for the confusion. Do you think he will end up like Carr? The number of hits clearly did a number on his confidence. I would change the poll if I could or if I can tell me how because I do not see it.

First of all David Carr was sacked so many times in large part because he took a lot of sacks. He took a lot of sacks because he wasnt very good.

Most people noticed that when the Texans switched QBs the number of sacks they allowed went down a great deal. Also, when Carr played elsewhere, that teams number of sacks allowed increased significantly.

Finally, this whole idea that somehow David Carr's career was derailed by his OL and it was all because he was rattled and his confidence was shot is complete and utter nonsense. Carr's career wasnt any good because David Carr simply wasnt a good QB. He also took a ton of sacks because he had zero ability to escape pressure, was very slow making reads, and typically made errors when he did throw. He had a strong arm though. Just another overrated guy coming into the draft with a rocket arm. Thats all.

I don't think he will be another Carr, but his play leaves a lot to be desired. I would like to see him slide more on scrambles and protect the ball better.

He will be if Jeff Ireland is still here building the offensive line, which has an apt name as all it does is offend me.

Yes, no improvement really, too many turnovers, you can't win this way.

I felt he was an overreach and should have stayed with Moore or Devlin.

Next season, lets draft a QB and see how it works, but I wish Moore or Devlin would have been given a fair shot.

I have seen enough of Tannehill this season.
