being wide open and then having the ball sail 10 yards over their heads? What about being pissed that Frerotte has put Welker and Chambers in harm's way because of his innaccuracy? I know this is a team game and you play for each other but I would have been pissed if I was Chambers and because of Gus's overthrow, I got unnecessarily drilled on that WR screen.

YES! THey should be getting pretty frustrated right about now.:fire: ON that Welker play where he was WIIIIIIDE OPEN, should have been a TD, but for some reason, Gus throws it like WAAAAY over his head to where there's no way he could have made that catch inbounds..Welker slams into that stupid fence they've got in that stadium, then gets up with this look on his face like: "you stupid IDIOT! I was WIDE OPEN!" That look was precious. Gus better get on top of his game or people are gonna start talking.

Saban runs a tight ship and there's a lot of politically correct responses being given. But I sure would love to know what the players and recievers REALLY think.

If they are truly happy with gus then who are we to criticize. But I find it hard to believe that they are TRULY happy with Gus.

Gotta be...I'd love to listen to RM and CC talking at home some time...

Ok..so what is the answer? Put in Sage? The season is too fragile right now to be experimenting with QB exchanges. Gus made enough plays on Sunday to show us he can manage the game. He's not throwing a bunch of INTs. He made some important throws. Yes, he missed Welker in the endzone and a few others that were important, but he got us our only TD. If Gus can not perform in the next weeks, and by that I mean if he can't manage the game and protect the ball, then it makes sense to try something new. Just putting a new QB in there will not solve anything. This team is getting better. Ronnie is producing bigtime. Ricky is still a great runner. Our running attack is going to be a beast by the end of this season.

Gus needs some work, but to pull him now makes no sense at all. Especially with the lack of experience behind him.

Managing the game? 48/100 in his last 3 games is managing the game? The main reason he hasn't thrown more INT's is because he's overthrowing even the defense. When you get the production out of our RB's that we've gotten this season, these stats are just horrendous. Especially for a guy who came in here simply because he's been in the system for 2 years. He's playing more like a rookie than anything.

They are just going to have to run faster and jump higher...

They need to watch tape of the old tecmo bowl for the NES where the guys would practically jump out of the stadium.

They make as many mistakes in their game as Gus does.

How can they get pissed if he hits them square in the numbers and they drop it?

How can they get pissed if they don't know what route to run on a given play?

How can they get pissed if they are not running their entire route at full speed?

How can they get pissed if they allow a DB to out muscle them for the football?

:rolleyes2

ok, like once or twice has that happened where Chambers or Booker were hit i the numbers and it was dropped most of the passes were of though, like way off. Maybe the qb should throw the ball better, I mean guys are wide open, you have to take advantage fo the, he's clearly not.

My point is that they have their own issues to work out before they can even think of getting frustrated. Tighten their game up, then maybe they can have a beef with Gus.

So, if they ran the wrong play and are still open then why doesn't he throw to them where they are? He does have eyes doesn't he? Isn't the biggest part of being a QB finding the open reciever and hitting them in stride?

If they don't run at full speed then why not hit them in stride?

We are leaving WAY too many points on the field. We should have totally blown the doors off of the Saints. That should have been a fourty to fifty point game for us.

Frerotte isn't hitting the recievers. He throws every pass like he thinks he's a MLB pitcher. There are some plays when you need to lay it in there.

That pass to Welker in the endzone is inexcusable.

I can go out and play football on the weekend and hit 80% of my throws. Nick give me a call.
