I personally hope that we dont rely on him too much, not because of the possibilty that he might pull the same **** as last year, but what if he underperforms or gets hurt?(which I hope doesnt happen) Do you think that it will affect the team in a bad way?

How are we being too dependent on him? We drafted Ronnie Brown. If we would have drafted Edwards, then we would be too dependent on him.

Now you know why Ronnie was drafted.

Ronnie really needs to hurry up and put his autograph on the contract!!!!

How can you not depend on him alot? The man is money when it comes down to totin' the rock. We don't have to put all of our eggs in one basket, however. Enter Ronnie Brown.

Are the Colts to dependant on Peyton Manning?

I have always been a proponent of a team approach for the reason you said...injuries. However, you really want the ball in the hands of your guy who gets it done. But now that we have Ronnie, I don't think the problem will be depending on RW too much. We'll have 2 great backs hopefully, which reduces wear and tear on each guy and gives the defense more problems when both are on the field at the same time.

you mean "too" dependant???

Yes, they are, but when you have the best player in the league, you are going to tend to depend on them.....did the Bulls depend on Jordan too much???

The HUGE difference is that neither Peyton nor Jordan left their team for a year to go find themselves.

A QB has to touch the ball evry snap (pretty much. When you get receivers and a running back that catches well, of course he's the big factor. But it's less of a gamble over the span of a few years than with a RB. RB's take more of a physical pounding...unless your line sucks and the QB gets killed. But in that case you don't have the passing attack the Colts have.

UH, Jordan did!

Every team is too dependant on their best player.

Ricky is still Miami's biggest weapon on offense. It's true, It's true
