Just seeing how many people out there think the Colts will still go all the way. I know if I was Dungy I don't really see myself coming back to coaching this year at all..if it all. On NFL Live they made a good point about Dungy possibly leaving coaching after this year to spend time with his family so something like this (can't stop it) will have less of a chance of happening again. They definetely have the talent and Manning himself could probably make an O gameplan himself, but you still need your HC. Thoughts?

I think it is a possibility that he would take the rest of the year off. But he may return this year to try and take his mind off of it. I don't think this situation will effect their SB chances. You're right, they have the talent and Manning pretty much runs the offense himself anyways. I feel bad for Dungy. Everything was going great for him this season, they made a run at perfection and even after the loss they were still the best team in the league. I hope he can overcome this tragedy.

Horrible to say but I think this is the type of event that will get that team to play with A FIRE UNDER ITS A@#. The one problem I had with them is that they still appeared to be a soft team to me. This incident will probably get the players to rally around their coach and I think the team you're going to see in the playoffs is going to be flying around the entire field taking no prisoners. I hate thinking about the game instead of his family but I guess the show must go on

i never thought they'd win it all to begin with. But who knows, maybe coach Dungy will be motivated so much by this that he wont get bounced in the 2nd round like he usually does. Not a cheap shot on him, i like Dungy a lot. I think the entire Colts team could rally around this, Peyton seems like the kind of guy who could get the locker room to play for James Dungy and really pull this off.

NFL players and coaches lose family all the time

Earlier this year trent green lost his dad

Brett Farve seems to lose family all the time

Its sad but it doesnt help your chances of winning any

Definetly a tragedy, no doubt in my mind. It's gonna be a tough road ahead for Dungy and his Colts, and no matter how much I dislike their top notch football team... My thoughts and prayers go out to Dungy, I really hope they can overcome this and do well in the playoffs.

I never thought Indianapolis could win it all before and not having their HC for the rest of the year(ever?) won't help.

don´t forget that they will play @ HOME all playoffs long, this is the big difference from the last years, although they lost at home to SD i still think they are the team to beat
