Do you think the jets had an advantage knowing Pennington the way they did

Dont know if this subject came up yet but would you give any weight to the fact that the jets would hold an advantage over the dolphins becuase of intimate knowelege with Penny's style and tendencies? I think there may be something to it or am i just looking for excuses?

That's actually a very interesting observation.

I guess that on the flipside, Pennington should have helped us in terms of knowing their defense. Not sure that panned out, though.

Pennington's problems today were a lack of running game and poor pass blocking. I'm not sure how the Jet's knowing Pennington would have led to either of these things.

He checked down all day because our receivers cant get open anywhere in the middle to deep ranges. The worst WR corps in the league by far.

Exactly. I can't even remember how many times Chad had beaten us with the TD pass . Maybe they weren't 60 yard bombs like favre, but anyone who claims he can't throw over 15 yards hasn't been watching for the last 7 years.

No clearly the out gameplanned us based on this fact. Pennington was a big reason we couldnt run the ball. First play of the game. not only eight men in the box...but eight men practically at the line of scrimmage...ninth man in the box....I cant believe he doesnt audible out...of course two yard run

I think it pretty much evened out. Seemed like he knew something and the Jets knew something. There were time where the Jets' were in perfect position and there were other times where Pennington was just picking out their defense.
