DMac is playing well enough to beat out Carey at LT or because McDougle has played lousy at RT? Personally, I hope it's the latter because if Carey is beating out DMac, I would want the best tackle playing at LT. The depth chart doesn't mean anything right now but I thought that DMac was going to win the LT outright and was pleasantly surprised to see the coaches rave about Carey at LT. IMO, McDougle has been a huge dissapointment at RT.

From what I have seen, it is about Stocker. I have not been impressed myself.

It could be because the right side got obliterated against the Steelers and Vernon is our best lineman.

Vernon is better built to be a RT than DMac. It's a shame about McDougle, I was really excited to see him come here. I think he has been performing worse since taking time off for his brother. Don't know if that would have anything to do with it, but that seems to be around the time he started to play poorly.

I wish DMac was outplaying Carey that would be 2 good linemen on the ends, but I think this is merely a case were they think the RG is weaker than the LG and the RT is weaker than the LT, peronsally though I would have switched the guards instead of the tackles, who knows what they are doing?

Its not like these moves are set in stone either, I think at this point they are just looking for a combination that looks good for them to try out. Hopefully Middleton can get in shape, I think that would help.

My conspiracy theory on this is that we are going to aquire a left handed QB soon, so naturally we need our best lineman at RT.:migs:
