In the off-season we signed Gibril Wilson to a 5 year contract then re-signed Yeremiah Bell to a 4 year contract. On our defense, the S position has arguably been the biggest hole and they have let up too many big plays. But with these long, ugly contracts already implemented, do you think the FO will address the S position sooner rather than later? And if they do, how do you think they will address it? Start Clemons? Free agency next year? Make everyone's dream come true and magically trade up for Eric Berry?

wilson and bell take a lot of heat and rightfully so but our corners are average at best and our LBs are woefully hideous in coverage. hopefully we can get ronnie resigned and do a couple things at LB/S in the offseason and with henne back make a run next season.

There is a problem in the secondary and the Trifecta knows what it is. Whether it's safety or not who knows.

I think the coverage problems are separate from Wilson's tackling issues the first few weeks.

The Problem is Wilson isn't playing up to the $ he's making and we gave him a'lot of money to be a Good FS when he has never shown he was a good FS in the NFL in the 1st place.

The other part is both Bell and Allen are both not playing like they did last year.

Then to top it off we have two rook's coming in playing alot as CB's.

Wilson has been getting better, but he's only gone from sucky to ok, now you know what the Trifecta knows.Good day.

I am just wondering if it is communication, something I thought that Grove was having a problem with the first 3 games of the season. Grove seems to have assimilated to the dolphins way of things.

The "problem" with Wilson and Bell and even Allen is that they have crappy hands. None of these guys can intercept a ball for anything. Allen having 2 picks this early in the season is amazing. As far as Wilson and Bell go, I think we have Wilson playing FS, and IMO he is more of a SS.The both can tackle and really get up in run support but neither of them seem to be assuming a leadership role in the secondary. We need one of them to step up and be that guy as well as step their game up as well.

i wish we would've signed Darren sharper in the off season over wilson...but then again who knows, he probably wouldn't wannA cOme here

as far fetched as it may sound, and i am not saying it should happen, just daydreaming so to speak...but vontae and will on the corners with bell at strong safety and a play making rangy ball hawk smith playing center field for the defense is something that intrigues me

Last part is spot-on and potentially the problem - by all accounts Hill was the communicator last season. Bell and Wilson both may be hard-hitters and good athletes, but neither of them is the leader back there.

I'm not a expert but while watching games this season I notice the secondary looks confused before the play. It may just be me but I wonder if that has a lot to do with it.

I don't know what's worse: How bad the safeties seem to be or the fact that they're essentially needed way more than they should be. Our CBs have got to be able to play better without allowing the receivers to get behind them every single game. We should be 4-1 right now. The offense hogs the clock, wears down the defense, basically does what is necessary to win the game in a text book manner and then the defense gives up a score in a third of the time. It's disheartening.

god i hope so. im a positive loyal fan , but this gibril wilson has not shown me anything. He a weak link,to say the least.

Their probably going to wait the season, a player in a new system can take time. One of my friends who's a die hard Cowboys fan said that he feared and hated Wilson.
