I don't think so, i was listening to 790 the ticket this morning and Joe Rose said that he got the indication from some of the Dolphins brass that they aren't overally enthusiastic about signing Couch.
 
I wouldn't be surprised since AJ is #3. He makes way too much money to be a #3. Something may happen before Sunday involving AJ and maybe a pay-cut or him getting cut and us picking up a #3 qb that get's a #3's paycheck.
 
I seriously doubt AJ gets cut, until Sage understands and can execute the offense well enough to be trusted.
 
IMO Sage knows the offense just as good as AJ does, if not better.

I agree, but Sage needs some more time practicing with the first team offense to develop timing. If it doesn't happen soon, Feeley will be cut after this season to avoid his price tag.
We may cut him and pick up a #3 guy sooner than that, but I suspect Saban will draft a QB early on next year and stick him at #2 for a year. Sage and Ferotte are just holding down the fort for the next two years, and whoever is third on the depth chart will be without a job in a year's time. That's why I think Saban hasn't signed Davey, he doesn't have the heart to cut him down the road.
 
I say Saban contacted him, and told him they are interested him. However, not until next season. He will sign with the dolphins the upcoming offseason. What can of message would it send to the rest of the team if they signed Tim Couch to compete for the starting job mid-season. Not a good one.
 
Of course things could change by week 4. We could be in desperate need of Couch by then.

I doubt it. If anything it will be Ricky and Ronnie. Maybe Gus and hopefully Sage. The only time AJ will come in is if Sage and Gus get hurt which could be a good probability if this O-line dont shape up quickly.

That makes no sense. He'd be wasting valuable time that Couch could be in practice learning the system. If anything get him in here now and let him learn the system as a backup so he knows it top to bottom by the time this season is over and can confidently take over next season.
 
I don't think so. But on the other hand, considering that AJ will make a ton of money next season don't plan on seeing him on the team. I can't see any 3rd string QB making that cash.

I guess I see that AJ had a chance to be the starter, and he didn't. In fact he went from start to finish in one offseason.
