The message would be that we are weak at QB and need some help...Honestly, Couch, if healthy, is better than all of our QBs...the real question with him, is..is he really healthy..my guess is that he's not quite ready to compete yet...that is why there hasn't been any news on us or other teams looking at him...
He's close, Heres a story from the Lexington Herald Leader.
Couch a true diaper dandy in new role as father
QUARTERBACK PLANS TO ATTEND UK HALL OF FAME CEREMONIES -- UNLESS NFL CALLS

First-time fatherhood got quarterback hero
Tim Couch acquainted with dirty diapers.
"Oh, yeah," he said. "I've changed plenty of diapers."
So which is more difficult: Facing an all-out blitz or the prospect of changing a messy diaper.
"For me, it was changing a diaper," Couch said, "because I wasn't used to diapers."
He and his wife, the former model
Heather Kozar, became parents Aug. 5 when
Chase Scott Couch was born. Chase weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and measured 201/2 inches.
Heather designed a birth announcement for the ages. It was a mock Sports Illustrated cover, which included a description of Chase as a "long bawl threat."
UK played along by sending Chase a national letter of intent.
Couch, who quarterbacked UK to its only Jan. 1 bowl appearance since 1951, hopes to be in Lexington next weekend. He'll be one of the honorees in UK's inaugural Hall of Fame induction class.
"I'm going to try to (be in Lexington)," he said.
Much depends on Couch's efforts to return to the NFL. Still recovering from shoulder surgery, he's hoping to work out for more NFL teams. If a team wants him to work out next weekend, then he'll have to pass on the induction ceremony. If no workouts are set, he'll be here.
"It's up in the air, really," Couch said. "My agent's been talking to a few teams. We're waiting to get the dates set up. I'm kind of on their schedule."
Couch recently worked out for the New York Giants.
"I was two or three weeks away (from being pain-free)," he said. "They wanted me to come in so they could see where I was. We're still talking."
The Miami Dolphins are among the teams that have expressed interest.
Couch estimated he's still a week or two from being his old self.
"It's a matter of getting my stamina built up so I can throw every day," he said. As of now, he needs to rest a day or so between days he throws.
Meanwhile, Couch is enjoying fatherhood and hoping his schedule permits a trip to Lexington for UK's Hall of Fame induction.
"It's definitely really special," he said of being part of UK's Hall of Fame. "It's a huge honor for me, something I'll be proud of the rest of my life."
Couch will be one of 88 UK athletics figures inducted into the Hall of Fame. Basketball luminaries include
Cliff Hagan (1951-52, '54),
Sam Bowie (1980-81, '84),
Richie Farmer (1989-92),
Kyle Macy (1978-80), and
Jamal Mashburn (1991-93). Others are former coaches
Adolph Rupp (1931-72),
Joe B. Hall (1973-85) and
Rick Pitino (1990-97); women's star
Valerie Still (1980-83); and broadcaster
Cawood Ledford (1953-92).
