to take Chatman's place because we have that 1 week roster exemption for Ricky or do you think this is Saban's way of making a roster move?

I don't really see a need to sign one just for that one week. We lost a running back, but as it stands right now, we have four on our roster(Brown, Williams, Morris and Minor). If we sign anybody for another position, like a CB or WR, will will probably release someone else or sucker another team into trading a late round pick like the Saints.

I dont understand why you guys get excited watching minor and morris those guys dont get good yardage and why not carry three big power rbs that is what denver, dallas and pitt does so why not us?

I don't like Minor, but I do like Morris. How can you say he doesn't get good yardage? If you actually watch the games, you will see that when Morris does get his hands on the ball he does everything in his power to pick up good yardage and usually does. He is very underrated.

I wouldn't call Willie Parker, Julius Jones and Tatum Bell power backs.

A good coordinator like Linehan is able to mold running backs who have different skills into the game plan. It allows for variation in the offense and the playcalling. While we lack a true speed back (Minor is not that fast) like Quintin Griffin (who is a FA), all of our RB's have different skills that will be incorporated.

Morris has one TD already this season on a hard fought run, he's a solid RB for us, especially at the 3rd spot.

I think morris is a real good back. I remember a few games ago we through him a pass out of the backfield on 3rd and long and he somehow mananged to get a first down. Morris is underrated and its a shame now that ricky is back he wont get as much touches.

Sammy Morris isn't exactly a small back (6'0 and 220 lbs.). He runs hard and gets positive yards consistently. He is a good starter and an EXCELLENT backup and 3rd down back.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say we potentially have the best 1,2,3 punch at running back in the league now with Ricky back (with the exception of Kansas City).

I am surprised that Saban hasn't traded Minor for a draft pick yet.
