What is insulting is that Steve Young will be inducted on the same day as Dan Marino.

What is insulting is that every single commentator this week (the week of Marino's induction) on ESPN has taken to ranking Marino below the top five alltime.

What is insulting is that a rag arm skinny luckbox piece of crap like Joe Montana even gets mentioned in the same breath.

What is insulting is that they equate Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Ricky Watters, Roger Craig, and Terrell Owens to Kareem Abdul jabbar, Sammy Smith, Irving Fryar, Bobby Ingram, and Tony Martin.

What is insulting is that they say that HE is somehow responsible for not winning a championship.

What is insulting is that a guy that was a run of the mill pro bowl quarterback....vaults to THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME because he has a runningback run for 5 million yards a game.

And in closing....When he is inducted he should pass by Montana's and Young's bust and spit on them.

Screw Montana, Screw Young, Screw Elway and while you are at it....Screw Brady and Manning too.

Dan Marino was the greatest quarterback of all-time and if you disagree......screw you.

There...I feel better.

Amen!

I DONT BLAME YOU FOR BEING PISSED . I FEEL VERY STRONGLY THAT MIAMI HAS BECOME PUBLIC ENENMY 1 . i dont give a rip how bad we were last season because it happens and we will benefit from it with better draft choices and more talent. this was 2/3 the reasons why DAN didn't win a ring we had too many 8-8 seasons for our own good and thus we entered a talent defficit from 1994- 2000 . I finally figured this media insults us crap out and it is because when someone rips the dallas cowboys or the eagles their fans stand up and raise hell and the dolphin fanbase takes it laying down , but this is just a hunch i already ripped one media guy in ok for putting dan, bob and other favorite dolphjins on the lower end ot great players list.

naturally i hung up on the guy.

i am telling you guys this if espn treats the hall of fame like crap in regards to dan then a lawsuit would be in order that is if any one cares about the dolphins. this is dans time to shine and we deserve to hear positive comments this weekend . ok i am through ranting but i am trying to light a fire under dolphin fans to fight for justice , fight for the miami dolphins.

So you're not a big fan of coach Shula then?

I hate when people mention Elway in the same breathe as Danny, but Joe Montana won at every level. What about Unitas, then?

That's why I always use the Charles Haley argument when talking about the greatest players of all time. At any other position fans maesure the player by their individual accomplishments excpet QB. The QB is somehow measured by the success of the team in the ultimate team sport. I just want consistancy, so with the thinking of the RINGS people.

Emmit Smith > Barry Sanders

and Charles Haley , 5 SB rings, is the best pro football player of all time.

I do think Emmitt Smith is a better running back than Barry Sanders. Barry Sanders was the most exciting to watch but he also had the most negitive yards from scrimmage. Barry was great but Emmitt was better. IMO

Couldn't have said it better myself. If Dan Marino in his prime had anything close to a 2002 Ricky Williams, he'd have gotten that ring. That's how Elway won it.

That's a good arguement.

I was thinking about who were the best pure passers in NFL history. Marino, Unitas, Fouts, none of them won a Super Bowl I don't think.

Did Unitas win a Super bowl?

Jim Brown didn't win a Super bowl either, and he was definitely the best RB of all time. I don't care how many yards or rings Emmitt gets.
