Not trien to be a homer here..but that was a big win last week and all i wanted to know is does any1 still think we have a chance at the playoffs this season and were halfway through so i want the midseason prediction record..and just keep in mind what we did last year!

If we finish 8-8, that will be a HUGE accomplishment. It will be of miracle proportions if we make the playoffs. BUT, stranger things have happened.

Especially with the Dolphins.

No, that ship has sailed. We all know it. Some are in denial, but if you are honest with yourself you know it ain't happening.
The Dolphins would have to win the remaining 8 games they have AND get help. Enjoy the big win against he Bears but don't trick yourself into believing the playoffs are possible.

It could happen. The Steelers won how many in a row last year???

If they win their last eight they will tiebreakers over the other competing playoff teams because we would have beaten them but will need them to have those other teams lose an extra game after the loss to the Fins.

The Steelers were not 2-6 last year. Winning 8 more games in a row and finishing 10-6 wouldn't even guarantee a playoff spot. Look at the Dolphins remaining games and then look at the remaining games of the team ahead of them.
It doesn't look good. It almost looks impossible.

Well KC has a tough schedule because of their division and Jacksonville will be good for couple more losses not including us.

I know they weren't 2-6, my point was any team can go on a winning streak.
True 10-6 doesn't guarantee us a playoff birth, a few years back we went 10-6 and no playoffs. The schedule is tough, but the way they played on Sunday, they could win out.

Of course there is still a possibility. The main reason i think that there is still a chance is the way we played on Sunday. The Dolphins didn't just squeek by on Sunday, they dominated from start to finish. A win like that can change you whole season around in a blink of an eye.

I think 8-8 is out of the realms of probability, 10-6 is outta the realms of possibility.

If, If, If...

lets be happy with the win...there were several intangibles that could have contributed to it...

kuechenberg's comments
the extra week off
the bears and the fact they were undefeated

does this win really mean that we are really that good, or perhaps that the bears were overrated, or they just underestimated us, or maybe we just played them at the right time...

lets establish some consistency, like winning 2-3 more games in a row, and then its time to get excited.

too early now. the holes are still there. i just can't see one game fixing all of our woes.
