Does anybody here feel Saban made a mistake?

I really feel that Saban did the best he could do with the cards that were dealt to him. He could only take this move with RW as far as Ricky would allow him to. We got a very good year out of him while giving Ronnie Brown a full yr. to get his feet wet. Would Saban rather have Ricky playing or get some trade value for him.....of course. But sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men......... I am really dejected by this latest news but I am nowhere as devasted as I was when he first let us down. DO NOT LET THIS LATEST SETBACK DETRACT FROM WHAT WE ALL FEEL.... Saban has us going down the right path, That Ronnie will be a special player in this league, and all our optimism about this organization is justified. Once all the facts come clear, it would be nice to see the talk around here change to the combine, the draft and hopefully Drew Brees(lol) :lol: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins:
 
I dont know what was going through Sabans mind.. If he was going to use Ricky as trade bait or use him with Ronnie to keep them both fresh, either way smart move on Sabans part. Saban is the Best coach in football. bias... dont care.

Of course he didn't make a mistake. He was just too slow in getting rid of him.
 
Whether Ricky is innocent or not, Dosen't he or we get tired of his name or problems popping up? why isn't JT's or Zach's name ever shaming this organization? To use a bad saying...Where's there smoke there is fire!
 
He didnt make a mistake at all because people deserve second chances and Ricky deserved his chance but now he's done and does not deserve a third!
 
what mistake did saban make??? listen if last yr was the lasdt time RW played for us then so be it....i wish we couldve gotten something for him value wise but its not like saban can just wave his magic want and get a draft pick....

I agree with all of your post, but you should maybe pick a better choice of words for your title. WHen I first saw it, I thought you were saying that Saban is making mistakes. (which couldn't be further from the truth)..SOme people only read the title of it and answer on that....as you can see..:rolleyes2
 
Regardless of what happens to Ricky from here on out I think Saban made the right decision. He also showed that he can control a team and lead them in the right direction even with a person who is considered a distraction. I have trust in Saban bringing in or drafting any player he wants.

Just got a little mad when I heard Jason Cole this morning say " Saban has some egg on his face ater this news". Just love Saban for doing all he could to help this team!!!
 
Only way it would've been a mistake is if we would've taken a cap hit on the heels of this, or if we hadn't drafted Ronnie Brown, and neither is the case.
