...that this FO is FINALLY all on the same page?

I'm watching the press conference. I can't help but get that feeling.

It's leading to this annoying warm and fuzzy feeling of optimism that I'm trying to curtail.

But...they really seem to be....ready for the draft.

Go back and look at the Jets drafts when Tannenbaum was there...that should curtail you warm, fuzzy feeling pretty quickly.

T2 Biggest Fail - he couldn't find that elusive QB - Problem solved in MIA - Let's see if he can place the pieces around T1

Tannenbaum went all in with the Jets and not only failed but left the team in pretty bad shape. So what! The way the Dolphins have played over the past 20+ years I'd take 2 straight AFC championship berths all day everyday even if it left us back in recovery, like we've been in since like 2004, afterwards. Also, I don't care about how those teams got into the playoffs. Nobody on this site would give 2 ****s if the Dolphins "backed into" the playoffs and made a title run. Just can't see many threads started about how the team "backed in" in that case.

I don't know if anyone watched the Jets Hard Knocks but you could just tell Tannenbuam had a way better working relationship with his HC than Jeff Ireland did. That's probably pretty important.

lol...and then what happened? Tell us Mr. Story Teller?

They went into Foxboro and won a playoff game. How many times have the Dolphins done that in the history of the franchise?

Those who created the Titanic were on the same page as well.

People need to stop focusing on things like "being in agreement" or "having plans". They need to focus on whether those plans are ****.

Tannenbaum cant work a draft and our philosophy in general is to draft inferior players so we can fill holes. If everyone in our organization is completely on board with that approach then thats ****ing awful.

I get good positive feelings every off season as we look optimistically at the draft, as players talk about how excited they are to be playing for the Dolphins when OTA's and training camp start, when the pre season starts, when coaches take the podium, etc.

Then we start to play the games and reality sets in. So I'm ignoring any warm fuzzy feelings I get this off season as they say the right things to the press. Meaningless until we win a playoff game, and I don't think that's too much to ask for about every decade and a half or so. And, to be honest, I get the feeling we are in trouble so I'm trying to ignore those feelings too.

You realize theres a game after the AFC championship game, correct? You have no problems going to the championship game twice, failing, then having us hit rock bottom?

Everyone should have a problem with that. Our goal shouldn't be to lose championship games, it should be to win Superbowls. And those currently in charge are incapable of that, we should fire them and find someone who is.

I mean I thought the Titanic wasn't that bad of a movie. Chick flick for sure but not bad. I wouldn't say ****... :chuckle:

Michael Bays version was better though.

I agree our goal should be to win Superbowls not lose AFC Championship games...that is just silly. However, what are you going to do go and rehire Shula!? Because honestly we don't know who is and who isn't capable of winning Superbowls. Not many do it. You have to have the right people together and maybe that is our front office now that Hickey and Tannebaum have joined up. Give Hickey a little time, jeez. I know it's been forever and it sux wiating but you have to give each regime time to see if they can do it! I think we are on the right path for the first time in a long time. I even think we can do it with Philbin if Tannehill takes the next step.

Not at all. I see Tannebaum forcing Hickey out...and Tannebaum basically running the show.
