If not you should give it a listen. While we are here killing our team over a victory listen to the opposing teams speak. Interesting, hearing Gruden talk about an impressive win for us on the road, 1st game of the season, losing our TE, coming in slow and sluggish but finding away in the 2nd half. The coaching staff making the necessary adjustment etc.

It's amazing...

It's not the the fans fault for being so "inept" when it comes to football. NFL has us trained to follow the game via fantasy stats, highlights and a box score. Most people don't appreciate a "grind it out" victory anymore . . . if it isn't flashy it isn't worthy.

I bet most people punched our "loss" ticket after the first half, because we usually lose those type of games in the past. All good . . . keep sleepin.

It's really sad! By no means I'm i saying we had a great victory! We didn't and we've had great victories before and what has it gotten us? Be happy with the win admit we have things to work on and go into the office proud this morning. Your Dolphins took care of business..onto the Jags!

How many times has the Fins been the dominant team statistically and the other team made a few plays at the end to win?
There were a couple of games like that last year. Take it any way you get it.

When you're ready to talk about this year then we can have a discussion. Until then your post can go kick rocks...

I agree 100% with the grind it out type victory. The half time adjustments were what helped propel the team to a win. Count me as one of those fans who thought the game was over after the 1st half. I will admit, I was less than thrilled, seeing the run defense get stomped on in the 1st half. But what stood out most about the win, was the adjustment's and the teams will to win. I won't lie, I think the team needs to play with alot more intensity and shore up some things on both sides of the ball!!!

I don't think he was saying anything bad about this year...just pointing out we were statistically better and looked better than teams we played last year only to lose in the end because of a few big plays by the other team.

This is what I am thinking. We looked amazing against the Patriots last year then completely crapped the bed against the Chiefs. We kept that on and off play up all year to 8-8. We have to win when we aren't playing our best to be a good team and we did that yesterday. What will answer some questions is how we respond against Jacksonville. I would like to see us a whole lot sharper on both sides of the ball. We will need to be our best to beat Buffalo, I can tell you that.

At least the buffalo game is our home opener...maybe play with a little extra fire

Fair enough. Let's not throw the team under the bus just yet....

I hope so, they come out flat sometimes and it makes me crazy. Buffalo looked good yesterday, they are going to be tough.

Absolutely not. It's a long season and we know they are much better than what they showed yesterday. I'm just glad for a win, style points don't count.

See this is the thing you gotta be careful about watching games. Just because a team looks good one week doesn't mean that's who they are for the season. It happens time and time again. In some ways I'm happy we weren't perfect yesterday....No complacency we've arrived needed.

This really is a league of matchups..By your point Buffalo based on yesterday game should beat Washington by 50. But guess what? Would it really surprise anyone if they get beat by Washington? If they do what does that mean? How do posters/fan reconciled that?

I'll tell you this much that Washington is not going to be an easy win for anyone.

Buffalo looked sharp, that's all. They could lose next week, they could go undefeated. I'm no expert on the X and O of football but I know what an error looks like and I know what missed opportunities look like. We were not sharp for a lot of the game but did enough to win. That's great and the mark of a good team but probably won't cut it against better teams. I'm thrilled with the win but I don't think anyone is thrilled with their overall performance.

I can appreciate a tough, grind it out victory. It's just harder to swallow when it is against a dumpster fire of a franchise.
