Does anyone feel Chambers...

Is just a soild #2 WR.He,s just not in all the other Big dogs WR leage.Like Steve Smith,Chad Johnson.I think most teams in the nfl he will be a #2 to #3 Wr.He will be a #3 Wr if he played for Bengals,Colts,Cardnails and Giants.I no A.Toomer is hurt this year,but i think Toomer is a better Wr.Im starting to feel we need a #1 WR.I dont think Chambers is doing that kind of job.I hope we can land a big dog Wr in free agency or the draft.Can anyone change the way i feel about Chambers...

I think people need be realistic about what a #1 WR is. Every team cant have a Chad Johnson, if you think we're going to get rid of Chambers and just go out and draft a TO or a Marvin Harrison you're crazy. Chambers isnt an elite WR, he isnt in the top level. But very few teams have a WR that is. He's a good WR who is having a bad year like every other player on our offense. Why everyone on this site has to blame him is pretty ridiculous. We suck as a team on offense. It's funny how fans always have to have one player to place the blame on. Was Culpepper, then Brown for awhile, Harrington still gets it, but Chambers has become the popular choice around here.

its not the qbs fault that chambers is not a recieving option becaquse he cant get away from everage corners!

CC's performance and stats over the years don't back this up. When we make him the main focus (Jacksonville) we lose. When we use everyone in our offense we win, and he has low numbers. However, CC is not totally to blame - the OL limits the time for the QB to throw the ball. But when the ball goes to CC he doesn't always take advantage of the situation, and doesn't fight for it.

If we could find another receiver to compete for the #1 I'd love it. Let competition decide who the #1 is, not a default decision.

How much of a focal point was Chambers last year when we broke off 6 wins? You base your theory off one game where Chambers played well and we lost. It's a spurious correlation if I've ever seen one.
