That hit was pretty nasty. Unfortunately the commentators were too busy worrying about Favre's status and planning a mass suicide to give us an update. If anyone has any information on Martin I would sure appreciate it. Thanks.

P.S. Favre apparently sprained his labia!

it was a nasty hit he took, but he looked a little daised and walked off so it shouldnt be anything serious but IDK

i dk, he looked like OUT riding the cart to the locker room. Haynos didn't do bad, necessarily, he just wasn't as good (can't believe i just said that) as Martin is.

There are things medical people call "signs" and "Symptoms". "Signs" are what the person can view with thier eyes, hear, etc. As a medic (former) there is no way on god's green earth that was not a concussion. Martin was out before he hit the ground. We was laying, motionless, and, relaxed on the field. That, me laddies, was a concussion. A concussion is defined in medical terminoligy as "An interruption in the brain being able to properly function."

  1. A violent jarring; a shock. See Synonyms at collision.
  2. An injury to an organ, especially the brain, produced by a violent blow and followed by a temporary or prolonged loss of function.
People say it's just a *Headache* now....Right. Look at that hit and tell me again how that's just a *Stinger* or a *Headache*.

That guy has a concussion, and, associated symptoms. He should be held out of the game this week if anyone has any ethics whatsoever.

Ethics only apply in the off season

I delt with this in the Army. The ethics of combat arms people (Tankers....Infantry...Scouts...Artillery) is much the same. "I'm good Doc. I can go."

When I was on the line I had to learn how to be as tough as them, but, also the one voice of reason. Hence, when "Doc" said they guy needed a break, or that the guy needed to go the the rear *RIGHT NOW* (Which happened a few times) the Commander listend to me, even though he was an 0-3 and I was an E-4.

When I could see that the guy was hurt, my spiel was.."Ok (Last name) spare me all your false macho bull****. Tell me what's wrong."

If David Martin is the cost of an AFC championship.....I don't want the championship.

Your a good man..Boss.

absolutely. you cant risk someone like that. Sparano is a good man, he would never put someone out there that shouldnt be.

but to be honest, the hit on martins head wasnt bad, it was the position his neck was put in. im not a doctor, so i dont know what that would mean. but i dont think its out of the relm of possibility that it isnt a concussion.

with that said, hope Martin can go. hes a HUGE part of our offense. If he cant, it will be a loss, but we have the peices to deal with it.

Didn't Sparano say he was day-to-day in his PC Monday? I'd imagine he'll have something tomorrow. I was surprised/semi-relieved he didn't mention anything about Kendall Langford. I re-watched that play and didn't see anything that would indicate a knee injury, other than him holding it as the play continued downfield.

I was a medic. Sifting through the malingerers and chronic **** birds was my job. Sometimes, like say....You got a big cut....I got reamed by my Squadron MEDO because a guy got a big cut. I cleaned it out, patched it up and, told him to get back out and do his job. Turned out, it was deeper than I thought. It got infected and, he got a big scar on that arm.

He pulled me off the line..(My boss, essentially)...The Troop Commander from the unit I was assigned to came back and, basically pulled me out of my bunk and, brought me back to the unit (A/1-7 Cav) His quote was... "Doc...My soldiers can deal with scars. They are soldiers. You wont' make the right call every time, but, you showed that you know what "Tough" means and, what it doesn't mean. You are my medic and, you aren't going anywhere."

God bless ya CPT Dinger....Wherever you are.

havent heard a thing. hopefully he will be fine because i thionk haynos needs another season to get prepared. but we still got FASANO!!! (THANK YOU JERRY JONES!!)
