Does anyone have an Update on the Blackout situation for this week

i've seen this quoted before, but i definitely recall going to sports bars in the jupiter and hobe sound area to watch blacked out games legally. if you google map carol city/miami gardens, florida, to jupiter, florida, it is 75 miles by turnpike and 78 miles by I-95. if extreme northern palm beach county is outside the 75 mile blackout area, why in the world would they black out martin and saint lucie counties? because if this game is blacked out and i don't want to mess with illegal internet feeds, i'm going to want to head north, but not 100+ miles.
How about just.. going to the game?

Well, maybe a blackout is just the thing they need. The team has talent...they need to go out there and come out strong, have a good gameplan. Win these next few games, and the Dolphins can push tickets for the Broncos and Redskins games. After the Broncos game in October, their next home game is November 13th against the Redskins.

They should push an orange jersey game for the Redskins or the Bills. Who cares if it's daytime, most teams wear alternates for a day game.

sorry, but if this is the case, then the above poster is right. it's tough to sympathize with those in the Miami area that can't watch the games and refuse to go support the team. Entire sections are empty on sunday, that is flat out embarrassing. do you expect free agents to want to come play for a team that cant sell out game 2 of a new season?
If $41/ticket isn't much to you and it matters that much, post an ad offering to buy tickets for those that would like to go to the game but can't afford it. If you throw in the plane ticket, I'd take you up on that offer!

They should attempt winning at home first. It's not the ticket prices..it's everything else involved that is expensive. It's not like (I wouldn't anyway) people go to the games by themselves. I used to sit next to a guy though, little Asian guy, but my gripe with him was he just sat there with his radio on and that was it. Very..unexcited it seemed.

I'm not worried too much about a blackout over here. It usually will get shown one way or another. If not..I'll stream it.

I heard a rumor that the television network (CBS) will by the remaining tickets for the Houston game. NOT SURE if that's true.~Omar Kelly tweet at 3:40pm on 9/15

Major broadcast companies will generally "buy out" the remaining tickets at a ridiculously discounted price.

100K on some tickets is chump change compared to the money they will make off commerical slots during the game.

Our so called, "8 straight seasons of sell outs" is really nothing more than broadcasting companies buying off tickets and making money.

plus, they don't just hand over a check for the unsold tickets. i believe they guarantee a sell out by kick off, then they have to buy whatever is left at game time. then they probably donate them to charity and use them as a tax write off, or treat their clients/employees/whateva. but it has to be a reasonable number. maybe 4000 or 5000 max at 72 hours before game time (i'm guessing)?

if that's accurate then the game may not be blacked out after all.

are those from the dolphins or individuals that have already purchased tickets? i didn't think the fins listed their unsold tickets on stubhub. if not, those tickets would count as "already sold" by the team. for anyone trying to help avert a blackout BUY THE TICKETS FROM THE TEAM.

if that's accurate then the game may not be blacked out after all.

I thought sites like stubhub had nothing to do with Dolphins ticket sales because thats fans and scalpers selling?
