Does anyone know what Chambers intentions are regaurding re-signing W/ the phins throught the remainder of his usefull days?

hes singned thru 2010 isnt he

is it back loaded so that it get more expensive? If he doesn't really tighten up he won't be here very long. I wonder what his cap hits would be.

Yea, thanks guys I just found the story I should have looked harder:
FYI
August 5, 2004
Dolphins sign Chambers to five-year extension
The Miami Dolphins signed Chris Chambers to a five-year contract extension Thursday that keeps the team's top wide receiver under contract through the 2009 season.

It is sad to think that so far he has yet to play with an average NFL QB. One can only hope that he gets a chance. I would give Sage , Lemon , my Mother in Law , anyone if they gave this offense & Chambers a chance to excel.

Chambers is gonna have a huge day against the taints

well that's if, SAban puts SAge in after Gus plays like Gus for the first half. Then the Sage-Chambers show will be on.

Here's his remaining contract.

2005 1,350,000
2006 1,600,000
2007 5,400,000
2008 5,100,000
2009 4,550,000

Well if those numbers are correct it looks like chris has two years to do what we have all been saying he is capable of ... after that he will be way to much for this team to afford unless he lights it up soon I doubt he stays after those two years. After his performance so far I have to say he doesnt deserve 5 mill a year.

yup, I agree with that, every bit of it.

Thanks Byroan for putting up the numbers !

I feel sorry for Chambers, he's never had even a decent NFL QB throwing to him, he must be able to really relate to Marino never having a RB ;)
