I know we won the last 5 games during the 1981 season. I know we won 14 games back in 84 but our 2nd loss might have been towards the end of the year. Not sure how to look this up. Of course if we win our next 3 we'd have won our last 5. Does anybody know without having to look it up? I honestly believe that 81 was the last time. We started 5 and 0 that year then had a tie with the jets. Then we won the last 5 to take the east then lost to SD at home in the playoffs.

They did it in 2008. They lost the Sunday before Thanksgiving to New England to sit at 6-5, and then won their last 5 to win the division.

Wow, I forgot about that. Wonder if 81 was the last time before that.

2008. And 2005 or 6 I believe. We won like our last seven and just missed the playoffs. This was with Gus ferrite and sage rosenfels. I specifically remember the epic comeback against buffalo. 21 points in the fourth I believe. I was like 13 or 14, and always af an but that season was when I caught my dolphins fever.

1972

And were the only team to have ever done it

Umm.. remember when fins got to the playoffs in 2008 with Chad Pennington? Yep we were like 6-5 and won 5 straight games and won the division at 11-5

Couple posters got it right we did in 2008 and in 2005 we won seven in a row to end the season I believe.

2013 we went on to win our last 9...... O sorry too premature?

Sabans first year I believe. Press sort of used that finish to catapult us to a super bowl contender the following season. We opened the season against Pitt and we ended up sucking. By the end of that year Nick was in Alabama and Cam Cameron and his "fail forward fast" was on its way to Miami. Hey thanks for bringing this up!:boohoo:

We beat a lot of really terrible teams under Saban, 2 of which were surprise wins thanks to relief efforts from Sage Rosenfels whose ridiculous arm in all out aerial, comeback mode couldnt be stopped when not prepared for.

Haha, wasn't one of those the Buffalo game where the Dolphins were down something like 24-3 in the fourth quarter, and Chambers ended up with over 200 yards receiving? Yeah, that 6-game winning streak to end 2005 was fun, but it was quite the illusion.
