Does anyone know why Chud isn't in the coaching search mix?

Miami interviewed Chud last year, and the general feeling from the Dolphins is that he is not ready to be a head coach. What exactly is going to change in one year that makes him ready to be a head coach? Something tells me that he didn't knock their socks off last year.
was he interviewed for the head coaching position last year or OC? I think it was OC so from your dumb logic the interview process for a OC and head coach are the same. that's retarded.

oh and for those saying we decided not to hire him last year, that's false. We offered him the job, but so did Carolina and since he knew Ron Rivera working him with in San Diego, he decided to go with the guy he knew as he didn't know if Sparano would let him do his own thing.

Also after the Harbaugh thing I don't think anyone with options would have taken our job. We got Daboll because after running the 31st ranked offense in Cleveland, nobody else wanted him.

I don't think so. Only reason you wouldn't get guys out of the organization is because you knew Sparano was on the hot seat. He gets fired, and you might not have a job in a year. Again, EVERYBODY knew when Rivera got the job at Carolina that if he offered the job to a San Diego assistant they'd take it.

I think some are scared of Chud just because of the Cam Cameron fiasco. Get over it.

Truth is, just because he is good with his x's and o's doesn't mean he also can't be a great leader and motivator. He can be both. You and I have no idea. He is at the VERY LEAST worth an interview. Especially with all the ties he has to the University of Miami.

not really.

Do you have a job?
I'm an engineer and i know that interviewing for a team lead position is different that you regular SR position.
There has to be a different process for interviewing HC and OC.

So you think the reason Fisher went to STL is because Ross went after Harbaugh last year when Sprano was still our HC?

See my thinking is Fisher always knew he was going to STL because they have a GREAT situation for a HC to walk into. A young talented QB in place, the 2nd pick in the draft, no GM in place, a ton of cap room and a owner willing to spend towards the CAP.

No you are right, it was obviously the Harbaugh thing.

The reason I want Chud is because of his mindset. He wants to go out and try to score sixty points a game. He wants to put teams away instead of nursing a ten point lead. This was apparent to me when a friend texted me last night and said "Typical Pats, running up the score like that". I got to thinking that 1.) if it was us doing it, it would be a different story and 2.) that's what it takes to succeed in today's NFL. I want a coach that realizes that and will gameplan accordingly. I believe that Chud is that guy.

we don't need Chud.....if you ask some of the people on this board we'll be fine as long as we have Ireland......it will not matter who the HC is.

Ozzy rules!!

looking at our owner and GM mo, I assume its because he signed with carolina over us last year

Maybe he still will. With fans making enough chatter the FO may feel pressured enough to interview him. But for whatever reason Chud hasn't stood out to them yet.
